Indian Army Recruitment Notification 2019 for JCO (Religious Teacher)

NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 27: Indian Army has released an online notification recruitment on September 27, 2019, for Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) Religious Teacher for 152 vacancies. Indian Army has also mentioned that the vacancies are tentative and may be changed at any stage. The online application will start from 30 September 2019 and will end on 29 October 2019 at 05:00 pm. Candidates who are between 25 to 34 years age, with a minimum qualification of Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university, can apply for the post. The exam will be conducted in 3 stages - Screening, Written Examination and Interview.

Educational Qualification:
(i) For Pandit and Pandit (Gorkha) - Hindu candidates with Acharya in Sanskrit OR Shastri in Sanskrit with a one-year diploma in “Karam Kand.”
(ii) For Granthi - Sikh candidates with “Gyani” in Punjabi.
(iii) For Maulvi and Maulvi (Shia) for Ladakh Scouts - Muslim candidates with Maulvi Alim in Arabic or Adib Alim in Urdu.
(iv) For Padre - Any candidate can apply who has been ordained priesthood by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority and is still on the approved list of the local Bishop.
(v) For Bodh Monk (Mahayana) - Any person who has been ordained Monk/Buddhist Priest, by the Head Priest of the Monastery where the person has been initiated into priesthood.
How to apply for JCO (Religious Teacher):
- Visit the official website to apply: joinindianarmy.nic.in
- Go to the JCO / OR Enrolment.
- Click on registrations and fill the form.
- Use the registration credentials to apply online.

The examination will be conducted for two papers - Paper 1 and 2.
Paper-1 will be based on (General Awareness) while the Paper-2 will be based on specific to religious denominations as applied by the candidates. In both the papers, the candidate needs to score 40 out of 100. Total questions will be 50 while 0.5 marks will be deducted as negative marking.
