NEW DELHI: The Indian Army has begun the registration process for the Short Service Commission (SSC) tech 64th men course and the 35th SSC tech women course. Eligible candidates can register for the Indian Army SSC Tech 2024 course by visiting the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in. The last date to fill out the application form is August 14.
As per the official notice, unmarried male and female engineering graduates, as well as widows of Indian Armed Forces personnel who died in the line of duty, are eligible to apply for the Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. The course is scheduled to begin in April 2025 at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).
The Indian Army recruitment drive aims to fill 379 vacancies, of which, 350 vacancies are for SSC (Tech) men, 29 for SSC (Tech) women, and two for widows of defence personnel.

Indian Army SSC Tech 2024 Recruitment: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for Indian Army SSC tech 2024 recruitment below:
Age limit: For SSC(Tech) men, women candidates, the age should be between 20 to 27 years as of April 1, 2025. A maximum of 35 years of age as on April 1, 2025, is allowed for widows of Indian armed forces defence personnel.
Educational Qualifications

Candidates who have completed the required engineering degree or are in their final year of the engineering degree course are eligible to apply.

Those in the final year must provide proof of passing the engineering degree examinations, including mark sheets for all semesters/years, by April 1, 2025. They should submit the engineering degree certificate within 12 weeks of the start of training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).

All final-year candidates whose final year or final semester exams are scheduled to take place after April 1, 2025 are not eligible to apply for this course.
“Selected candidates will be detailed for training at the officers training academy, according to their position in the final order of merit (engineering stream-wise) up to the number of available vacancies and subject to meeting all eligibility criteria,” the official notice read.
