NEW DELHI: The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) has opened the registrations for admission to various degree and diploma programmes through the admission test. Candidates who wish to apply for the entrance test can register through the online application portal at admission.isical.ac.in.

The institute will conduct the admission test for the academic year 2025-26 on May 11. The registrations for the ISI admission test will be closed on March 26. The courses offered through the ISI admission test includes BStat (Hons), BMath (Hons), BSDS (Hons), MStat, MMath, MS(QE), MS(QMS), MS(LIS), MTech (CS), and other diploma, JRF fellowships.
Notably, the institute will commence the registrations for admission to the Bachelor of Statistical Data Science (BSDS) programme on April 4. Candidates will be able to apply for the BSDS course till May 31.
“Registered applicants must complete the application submission by 26th March, 2025 (Wednesday) 11:59:59 PM [IST]. Those applicants who have not completed the application submission would not be able to login after that time. Even if you are logged in, the forms and application submission button will automatically become inaccessible after that time,” as per the instructions given on the official website.
The statistical institute has not announced the release date for the admit card of ISI admission test. However, it is mentioned in the document that the admit card will be issued about two weeks before the examination. The ISI admission test admit card will carry details regarding exam date, time, centre and candidate’s registration number, date of birth and other information.
ISI Admission Tes 2025: Eligibility, fee
Candidates with 10+2 years of higher secondary education or its equivalent with mathematics and english subjects are eligible to apply for the UG, and diploma programme through the test. Applications with a bachelors degree of three or more years duration in any discipline can also apply for the admission exam.
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in written test, and interviews.
The application fee for the ISI admission test 2025 for the general category candidates is Rs 1,500 (for male applicants) and Rs 1,000 (for female applicants). Candidates belonging to OBC, NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and EWS categories, need to pay Rs 750 as registration fee. For the overseas citizens of India, the application demands Rs 1,500 as registration fee.
ISI Admission Test 2025: Steps to apply
Candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for the ISI admission test 2025.
- Go to the official website, admission.isical.ac.in.
- Search for the “apply here” and click on it.
- A new window will open.
- Click on registration or login (if you have login details such as email id and password).
- Fill the required details such as name, email address, and choose a password.
- Submit your application by clicking on “register for application.”
- You will see an option to upload the photo id, and scanned signature and photograph.
- After uploading the documents, proceed to pay the application fee.
- Click on the “Make Payment” button and pay through SBI ePay gateway.
