Those who could not complete their degrees or candidates whose maximum examination opportunities have also expired will be able to appear for the exams once again to complete their degrees.
According to IPU, those whose prescribed examination opportunities have all expired by June 2026 will be able to avail the one-time benefit. This will include odd and even semester examinations.
Only students who have completed their course of study and have already availed all the opportunities available under the exam scheme will be eligible. The additional final-opportunity examinations will be conducted only in offline mode.
The odd-semester exams under the provision will be conducted in December 2026-January 2027, and the even-semester examinations in May-June 2027.

Students who still have regular exam opportunities remaining to complete their degree will not be eligible for this benefit. Those willing to avail the additional final opportunity must submit an application, along with a list of the papers in which they wish to appear.
The university has also clarified that the application must carry the signature of the concerned dean, director, or principal, without which the request will not be accepted.
Candidates appearing under the additional final opportunity will be required to pay the prescribed fees, comprising a continuation fee of Rs 25,000 and a re-appearing fee of Rs 1,200 per subject, to be deposited separately.
