ITM University hosts 3rd Convocation

NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 27: A traditional Convocation ceremony is just a program to award the meritorious students of a College/University, who have worked with zeal, passion and commitment in their career. But at ITM University, the degrees are awarded by bestowing a sense of responsibility. These responsibilities are passed on to the students in a hope that they will carry the light of knowledge further in their life.
The pre-convocation academic conclave has been started bearing this purpose in mind. It gives a platform to renowned personalities to come together and debate and share their experiences on issues of national and international importance.
This year the 3rd Academic Conclave featured famous personalities with illustrious career records from different walks of life. Each speaker motivated the students in his/her distinct style during the 5 hour long session. Various issues of Democracy, Constitution, History, Culture and medical fields were discussed during the show.
Famous writer and journalist, Ravish Kumar said that the ultimate tool of Democracy which is ‘Voice’. Encouraging everyone to be authentic and soft in their language, he taught the lesson of fearlessness. Also, Theatre Director, Sri Ratan Thiyam emphasized on the need to create more national Art and cultural bodies to preserve the loosening thread of our heritage and roots.
Motivating the students was Paralympics winner Deepa malik, who encouraged everyone to break the social barriers and the need to be liked. She narrated her own story full of criticism and hardships. For her inspirational talk, she was given Standing Ovation by the crowd two times.
