NEW DELHI: In a heartfelt tribute to the armed forces, students from government schools across Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district have prepared and dispatched 3,000 handmade 'rakhis' to soldiers stationed along the China border in the Union Territory of Ladakh, an official said. The rakhis were sent to the soldiers as part of the ongoing 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, the official said.
He said the patriotic initiative aimed at conveying emotional solidarity, affection and gratitude to the soldiers who safeguard the nation's frontiers.
