JAM 2024 website officially launched; IIT Madras to begin registration from September 5

NEW DELHI: The GATE-JAM office at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has officially announced the launch of Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2024 website, jam.iitm.ac.in. IIT Madras is the organising institute this year and will conduct the exam on February 11, 2024. JAM 2024 registration will begin from September 5 on the official portal.

The last date to fill the JAM 2024 application form is October 13. For one paper, candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD categories and female candidates will have to pay Rs 900 as the application fee whereas all other candidates will be required to pay Rs 1,800.

As per the JAM 2024 eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or are currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programmes are eligible to apply. Foreign nationals with Indian degrees can also apply.

JAM 2024 will be held in two sessions - forenoon session and afternoon session - for seven test papers including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS, and Physics (PH). The question paper will include multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple select questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions.

JAM 2024 result will be declared on March 24, 2024. Through JAM scores, students will get admission to MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc - PhD, and MSc - PhD Dual Degree programmes.

IITs, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIEST Shibpur, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) will use the scores for admissions.
