JAM 2027 registration deadline extended to October 19; exam for MSc-MTech, PhD admissions on February 14

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has extended the JAM 2027 registration deadline to October 19. Candidates aiming for admission to postgraduate programmes at IITs and other participating institutions, can apply for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) through the official website at joaps.iitkgp.ac.in.

The engineering institute will conduct the computer-based JAM 2027 on February 14 for admission to MSc, MSc-PhD, MSc-MTech, Joint MSc-PhD, PhD dual degree, Integrated PhD and other programmes.

All 23 IITs are offering admission to 89 postgraduate programmes through JAM 2027 for the academic year 2027-28.

According to the official notification, JOAPS (JAM Online Application Processing System) data correction window will be active from November 10 for JAM 2027 registered candidates.

JAM 2027: Steps to register

Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for the JAM 2027.

• Go to the official website at jam.iitkgp.ac.in.
• On the homepage, click on the JAM 2027 registration link.
• Fill the required details and complete the registration.
• Login using generated credentials for further process of registration.
• Again fill personal details, including academic and other information.
• Select your choice of JAM test papers.
• Upload photograph, signature and other asked documents.
• Pay the requisite fee.
• Press the submit icon.
• Download the JAM 2027 registration confirmation page.

General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates can pay Rs 2,000 for one test paper and Rs 2,700 for two test papers as JAM 2027 registration.

Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), and female candidates should have to pay Rs 1,000 as registration fee for one test paper, while Rs 1,350 for two test papers.

JAM 2027 will be held for seven test papers at the undergraduate level on February 14 in two sessions.

The college entrance test exam paper will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

Candidates may appear in one or two test papers. JAM 2027 examination will be conducted in around 114 cities across India.
