JMI celebrates start-up India innovation week and organises entrepreneurship development programme along with start-up founder meet on the occasion.

NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia's (JMI) centre for innovation and entrepreneurship along with its student body organised an entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) to celebrate start-up India innovation week. The programme aims to promote entrepreneurship, startup and innovation culture on the campus and to foster budding entrepreneurs.
The programme is in line with prime minster Narendra Modi's to foster spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation by involving the startup founders and up and coming entrepreneurs at the JMI campus. The event will be attended by MSME, DGM, Javed Ahmad Siddiqui and Job Hai, growth head, Dhruv Yadav.

EDP began with Yadav sharing his journey and motivating students to face challenges that will appear on the path of entrepreneurship. This was followed by Siddiqui sharing various schemes for MSMEs, startups running under the umbrella of SIDBI and Mudra.
In addition to this, JMI also organised a start-up founder meet. The event saw participating from over 20 start-ups and more than 30 entrepreneurs. The guest speaker for the event was Deloitte, strategy consultant, Fuzail Ahmad. He discussed important points, shared his insights with students and vowed to be in touch with the students to help them attain success in their entrepreneurship journey.
"The centre vows to keep conducting such events to promote and foster the startup and innovation culture in and around the university campus and to develop the Jamia community," said a JMI press statement.
