NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) vice chancellor, Najma Akhtar, launched the ninth issue of the Academy of Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers' (APDUMT) journal, Tadris Nama. The journal aims to provide support and resources to Urdu-medium teachers.

Promoting Urdu language and literature is one of JMI's key objectives, and the VC urged teachers and officials to prioritize it. Toward that effort, the academy recently signed an agreement with State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT ) Delhi, and Akhtar suggested seeking agreements with SCERTs in other states.
