NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has successfully concluded JEE Advanced 2020 for both paper 1 and paper 2. Candidates can now find the JEE Advanced analysis for both paper 1 and paper 2. The paper 1 of JEE Advanced 2020 was conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and paper analysis is also released by various coaching institutes. JEE Advanced answer key will be out soon by coaching institutes for both the papers based on memory based questions.

As per JEE Advanced 2020 schedule, IIT Delhi shall release provisional answer key on September 29 which shall be subject to candidate feedback till September 30. JEE Advanced result is scheduled to be announced on October 5 in online mode.

IIT Delhi conducted the JEE Advanced 2020 exam in 222 cities in different parts of the country. This year, due to COVID-19 pandemic, JEE Advanced exam was not conducted at foreign exam centres.

JEE Advanced Analysis 2020 by Careers360

As per the students reaction who appeared in JEE Advanced 2020 in both Paper 1 and 2, the overall difficulty level of the paper was hard. Physics was the toughest of all the three subjects, Chemistry easiest and Mathematics was lengthy, calculative in nature. In paper 1 the questions were balanced from all the three subjects and were moderate in difficulty level while paper 2 was tough. Most question in Maths were asked from Calculus and very were lengthy in calculation. In paper 2, 6 Numerical questions in each subjects out of 18 and 6 Multi correct questions were asked.

JEE Advanced Analysis 2020 by FIITJEE (Paper 1 and 2)

JEE Advanced 2020 analysis by FIITJEE evaluates the paper 1 paper to be moderate and paper 2 as difficult. Total marks of JEE Advanced 2020 has been raised to 396 in comparison to 360 from 2019. Check JEE Advanced paper analysis for both Paper and 2

JEE Advanced Paper 1 Analysis 2020

  • Students found the overall  level of paper Moderate to Difficult level but not easy. However, it was easier compared to 2019 as per students.
  • Some students have reported Chemistry was Easy to Moderate, Physics was Moderate but Maths relatively difficult.
  • In Physics    almost questions from chapter of 11th & 12th class were asked. Some students reported Physics was lengthy. Chapters like Rotation, Work Power Energy, magnetism & Thermodynamics had more questions.    
  • In Mathematics, there were 5 -6 questions from Calculus. There were questions from Continuity & Differentiability, Application of Derivative, Definite Integrals. One question each from Probability, Complex Numbers, Determinants and two questions from 3 D Geometry.   
  • In Chemistry,  Few questions on Organic Chemistry compared to Inorganic &  Physical Chemistry.

JEE Advanced Paper 2 Analysis 2020

  • Students found the overall level of paper to be Moderately Tough .  
  •  Paper-2  was Lengthy & Tougher compared to Paper-1 held in the 1st  Shift
  • Chemistry was Easy to     Moderate, Mathematics – Moderate & Physics was Moderate to Tough.        
  • In Physics questions were more concept based and covered all chapters. Questions were asked from Chapters of Fluids, Ray Optics, Electromagnetic Induction, Current Electricity, Rotational Motion, Heat & Thermodynamics. Mixed concepts questions took more time.
  • In Mathematics, there were more questions from Calculus & Algebra . Questions were asked from Functions, Limits, Continuity & Differentiability, Application of Derivatives, Differential Equation. In Co-ordinate Geometry, there was a question from   Hyperbola. In Algebra, there were questions from Permutation & Combination, Complex Numbers, Matrices. A question on Probability was had lengthy calculations.    
  • In Chemistry, questions from all chapters were covered and were Easy to Moderate level. Organic Chemistry had good no. of questions. In Physical Chemistry there were questions from Chapter of Solutions, Atomic Structure, Ionic Equilibrium & Chemical Kinetics.

JEE Advanced 2020 in numbers- Total students appeared, exam centres

JEE Advanced 2020 has been conducted successfully across the country on September 27 by IIT Delhi, the organising institute. Out of total registered fee-paid candidates, 96% candidates appeared for the exam. As per the official number of students who appeared in exam

Students appeared in Paper 1 - 1,51,311

Students appeared in Paper 2 - 1,50,900

The exams were conducted in 222 cities and 1001 exam centers all over the country. JEE Advanced 2020 witnessed the largest number of nodes ever provided by TCS-iON for an exam in the country (approx. 3.4 lakh nodes) to accomodate everyone while complying to social distancing norms.

"As per the manpower and infrastructure, due to COVID-19, conducting the exam was a major challenge readily accomplished by IIT Delhi," said Organizing Team members of JEE (Advanced) 2020. Prof V. Ramgopal Rao, Director IIT Delhi, on behalf of the organizing team, expressed his gratitude to the  Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', officials in the Ministry, the state governments, all the IITs and the candidates for their support in making the JEE Advanced 2020 successful.

JEE Advanced 2020 Answer Key Soon

As JEE Advanced exam for both paper 1 and 2 has been concluded, various coaching institutes will be soon releasing the answer keys. The same will be released based on memory based questions as provided by candidates. IIT Delhi is going to release the provisional JEE Advanced answer key 2020 on September 29. Candidates will be able to give their feedback and comments till September 30. This shall be followed by JEE Advanced final answer key on October 5.

JEE Advanced 2020 Total Marks Increased, will there be any change in cutoff?

IIT Delhi has raised the total marks of JEE Advanced 2020 to 396 (198 for each Paper 1 and Paper 2). In 2019, JEE Advanced total marks was 360. Considering the rise in JEE Advanced total marks 2020, will there be any fall in JEE Advanced cut off 2020. The final cutoff will be released by IIT Delhi along with the result but students may expect the drop in cutoff in JEE Advanced 2020. The JEE Advanced cut off will be different for various categories. Only those candidates who score marks above than the cutoff score will be declared qualified and will be eligible for JoSAA counselling and admission process.

In JEE Advanced Paper 1, Physics was difficult, Maths moderate and Chemistry relatively easy. Compared to Paper 1 , Paper 2  was easy but lengthy. As per Sri Chaitanya, 35 % may be the cutoff for open, 30% for OBC and 15% for SC and ST will be the cutoff.

JEE Advanced Paper 2 Analysis available

  • The JEE Advanced question paper was divided into 3 parts and there were 18 questions in each section with a maximum score of 198 marks.
  • Overall, Paper 2 of JEE Advanced was more difficult as compared to paper 1.
  • In Physics section more questions on integers required lengthy calculations making it the most difficult of all.
  • Chemistry section was also comparatively tough than JEE Advanced paper 1

IIT Delhi has successfully conducted the JEE Advanced 2020 exam today. JEE Advanced 2020 was held on in two sessions, paper 1 from 9 am to 12 pm and paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. IIT Delhi conducted the exam in around 1000 exam centres located at 222 cities of the country. Stringent measures were taken to hold the exam amid covid-19. JEE Advanced 2020 Statistics

As per information released by IIT Delhi,  Over 1.6 lakh students registered for JEE Advanced exam 2020, the exact number being 160864. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the authorities have increased the number of cities conducting JEE Advanced 2020 to 222 this year. As a result, the number of JEE exam centres also increased from around 600 to approximately 1000 this year. The authorities shall soon release the data for number of candidates who appeared for JEE Advanced and those who qualified the exam.

JEE Advanced AAT 2020

JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test 2020 will be conducted on October 8. JEE Advanced AAT 2020 is conducted for B.Arch admission in IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee. Only those students who qualify JEE Advanced 2020 will be eligible for appearing in Architecture Aptitude Test. Registrations for JEE Advanced AAT 2020 will be open from October 5 to 6. Result of JEE Advanced 2020 will be released on October 11.

JEE Advanced Counselling 2020

 The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts the counselling process for admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The counselling process for JEE Advanced shall commence on October 6 with JoSAA registration in online mode. This time, there are 6 rounds instead of 7 for JoSAA counselling 2020. Online reporting and final round for IITs will be done by November 8 and admission process shall be done from November 9 to 13 after which session shall commence.

JEE Advanced Analysis by Aakash

Candidates can check JEE Advanced paper analysis by Aakash Institute. As per JEE Advanced reactions from students who appeared in JEE Advanced paper 1, there were total 54 questions, 18 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Overall, the paper was difficulty in comparison to last year.

Physics Analysis- Physics part was little difficult and almost all questions from within the syllabus, though a little calculative.

Maths Analysis- Maths part was little calculative and lengthy. Algebra & calculus portion was higher, similar to last year.

JEE Advanced Self Declaration Form 2020

JEE Advanced self declaration form is a part of candidates JEE Advanced 2020 admit card which has to be filled beforehand by the candidate. In JEE Advanced admit card 2020 self declaration, candidates have to fill details  of any Covid-19 symptom if they have, travel history in past 14 days and details on whether they have been in contact with any covid patient in past 14 days. As the JEE Advanced paper 1 2020 has been concluded, candidates can check the JEE Advanced paper 1 exam analysis here:

  • Overall, the exam can be regarded as moderate to difficult.
  • Chemistry section in JEE Advanced paper 1 was easy to moderate with some tricky questions in Inorganic chemistry.
