NEW DELHI: The Union Minister of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal, today, January 7, through a live session on his Twitter account announced the JEE Advanced 2021 exam date and has also relaxed the eligibility criteria for the exam. The minister said that the JEE Advanced 2021 will be held on July 3.

Students were demanding relaxation in JEE Advanced 2021 eligibility criteria and were also requesting multiple sessions for the exam similar to JEE Main 2021. The live session has proved beneficial in solving all major queries of students regarding JEE Advanced 2021.
What’s New in JEE Advanced 2021?

JEE Advanced Exam Date 2021- First of all, the minister announced that JEE Advanced 2021 will be conducted on July 3, 2021.
JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2021- The minister has relaxed the JEE Advanced 2021 eligibility criteria due to COVID-19. Now, the candidates are not required to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria of having 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in Class 12 beside qualifying JEE Main to get admission in IITs. As per the revised JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2021, students who have passed Class 12th and JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced is an entrance exam conducted for engineering admissions in the 23 IITs of the country. JEE Advanced 2021 will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur.
