NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will start the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Adv 2025) registration today for over 2.5 lakh JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates. Eligible students can apply for the JEE Advanced 2025 from the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. The last date for registration is May 2.

Candidates will be able to pay the JEE Advanced 2025 application fee till May 5. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be held on May 18 in two shifts, from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The application fee payment for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates is Rs 1,600, while other category candidates have to pay Rs 3,200 as registration fee. Additionally, this year, a total of 2,50,236 candidates qualified in the JEE Main 2025 exam, which is the lowest in 6 years.

JEE Advanced 2025: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria to apply for the JEE Advanced 2025 are as follows.

  • Candidates should hold a rank in the JEE Main 2025 BE and BTech paper.
  • Candidates from the general category should be born on or after October 1, 2000, and SC, ST, and PwD candidates have a 5-year age relaxation, requiring them to be born on or after October 1, 1995.
  • Candidates should have appeared for the Class 12 exam for the first time in 2024 or 2025, with PCM as compulsory subjects. However, those who appeared in 2022 or earlier are ineligible. Also, other eligibility conditions apply for result declaration after September 21, 2022.
  • Candidates should not have been admitted to an IIT through JoSAA 2024, and candidates with cancelled admissions are ineligible (exceptions apply with specific conditions)
  • Candidates with a maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years can apply, and a third attempt is valid for candidates who have dropped out between November 5 and 18, 2024, only.

The JEE Advanced 2025 mock test link is now active on the official website for both papers 1 and 2. The JEE Advanced 2025 registration for foreign nationals, OCI, and PIO aspirants is ongoing. The admit card for the exam will be issued on May 11
