Students across the country have been citing the sudden increase in the COVID-19 cases as reason for their demanding the postponement of JEE Main 2021. Lockdown in several states due to the spike in cases has also been a major concern for many students.

Although the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the exam, has not given any indication that it is even considering a postponement of JEE Main 2021 exam, the announcements CBSE Class 10 exam cancelled and CBSE Class 12 postponed by the education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has given applicants hope.

While one section of students is campaigning, asking the government to postpone JEE Main 2021, others are simply wondering, "Will JEE Mains 2021 be postponed?"

One JEE Main 2021 aspirant said that many students appearing for the JEE Main exam will have to travel for around 100 kms which increases the risk of COVID-19 infection.

Another aspirant tweeted: “Conducting jee main in this situation may change JEE centre into corona hotspot epicenter”

Similarly, another JEE Main 2021 student requested the authorities to postpone JEE 2021 as the situation is getting worse.

Whether JEE Main April 2021 be postponed will be clear in the coming days. The National Testing Agency is conducting JEE Main 2021 in four sessions this year, in February, March, April and May. The JEE Main 2021 for February and March sessions have been concluded successfully. According to students who appeared in JEE Main 2021 held in February and March sessions, all COVID-19 guidelines issued by the NTA were followed at the exam centres.

The JEE Main April exam dates are April 27, 28, 29 and 30. Since the NTA has not yet released any notification regarding the postponement of JEE Main 2021 April exam, students can expect the release of JEE Main admit card 2021 anytime.
