JEE Main 2023 Admit Card: Download Hall ticket for day 1 exam

Candidates can download the JEE Main admit card 2023 using the following credentials.

• Application number
• Date of birth

NTA will conduct the JEE Mains 2023 exam on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. However, only the second shift of the JEE exam will be held on January 28, as per the revised schedule.

PwD candidates who desire to avail the services of a scribe need to opt for this while filling out the JEE Main 2023 application from. If a candidate desires to bring their own Scribe, then they should submit a Letter of undertaking for using own Scribe in a prescribed format. 

NTA will issue the JEE Main 2023 admit card for day 2 exam tomorrow and for other dates subsequently. Read more

NTA will conduct the JEE Main exam in two shifts. The first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.

NTA will use a conversion method to arrive at the JEE Mains 2023 score. "Conversion of the raw score in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and the conversion of the total into NTA scores. Overall merit shall be prepared by merging NTA scores of all shifts of all days," an NTA statement said.

NTA has released the JEE Mains 2023 mock test for engineering aspirants completely free in online mode. Candidates can access the mock test on the mobile application ‘National Test Abhyas’.

JEE Mains 2023 session 1 exam dates are January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2023.

• The candidates may please note that JEE Main admit card will not be sent by post.
• In no case, the duplicate JEE admit card 2023 will be issued at the examination centres. 
• The candidates must not mutilate the JEE Main admit card 2023 or change any entry made therein.
• Aspirants are advised to preserve their JEE Main hall ticket in good condition for future reference. 
• No admit card will be issued to the candidates whose applications are found to be incomplete for any reasons (including indistinct/doubtful photographs/unsigned Applications) or who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for the examination.
• Issue of admit cards, however, will not necessarily mean acceptance of eligibility which will be further scrutinized at subsequent stages of the admission process.

• Being in possession of any item or article which has been prohibited or can be used for unfair practices.
• Using someone to write the exam or preparing material for copying.
• Breaching examination rules or any direction issued by NTA for JEE Main 2023.
• Assisting other candidates to engage in malpractices, giving or receiving assistance of any kind or attempting to do so.
• Contacting or communicating or trying to do so with any person, other than the examination staff, during the examination time in the exam centre.
• Threatening any of the officials connected with the conduct of the examination or threatening any of the candidates.
• Using or attempting to use any other undesirable method or means in connection with the examination. 
• Manipulation and fabrication of online documents- admit card, rank letter, self-declaration.
• Forceful entry in or exit from the examination centre. 
• Use or attempted use of any electronic device in the exam hall. 
• Affixing, uploading of wrong, morphed photographs or signatures on the application form, admit Card or proforma.
• Creating obstacles in the smooth and fair conduct of the examination. 
• Any other malpractices declared as unfair means by the NTA. 
• Any candidate with more than one application number (more than one scorecard) will be treated as UFM, even if found at a later stage, and strict action will be taken against that candidate.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2023 session 1 at different centres located in 290 cities throughout the country and 18 cities outside India.

JEE Main 2023 exam centre list

Calculations and writing must be done only on rough sheets provided at the test center. After the completion of the test, candidates must hand over the Rough Sheets to the Invigilator available on duty in the room/hall, an NTA statement said.

For Multiple Choice Questions:

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
• Unanswered or marked for review will be given no mark (0). 
• If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
• If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
• If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared irrespective  

For Numerical Value Questions:

There will be negative markings for Section B. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner: 

• Correct Answer: Four marks (+4)
• Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)
• Unanswered/Marked for Review: No mark (0).
• If a question is found to be incorrect or the question is dropped then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.
• Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

The JEE Main session 1 exam will start on January 24 and will conclude on February 1, 2023.

JEE Main admit card 2023 download window

The JEE Main 2023 exam will be held for BTech, BArch and BPlanning papers. The exam will be comprise of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and numerical questions. The JEE Mains 2023 paper 1- BE, BTech paper will include three sections -- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and will comprise of 90 questions. While the BArch paper, or Paper 2A, of JEE Main exam will have three sections -- Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing and will have 82 questions. Paper 2B- BPlanning paper will comprise of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Planning-based questions and will have 105 questions.

The JEE Main 2023 admit cards of candidates for January 25 i.e day 2 will be released tomorrow (January 22) and for other dates will be released subsequently. Candidates can download their JEE Main hall ticket by using the application number and date of birth.

JEE Main 2023 January (session 1) exam is scheduled on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2023. While JEE Main April 2023 session 2 exam dates are April 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12, 2023.

If a candidate is found to be indulged in any of the unfair practices, s/he will be deemed to have used unfair practices and booked under the UNFAIR MEANS (U.F.M.) case. The candidate may be debarred for three years in the future and will also be liable for criminal action and/or any other action as deemed fit.

Candidates must have to carry the following documents on JEE Main exam day at the test centre.

• Print copy of JEE Mains admit card along with self declaration (undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in. 
• One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the JEE Main application form) for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at the exam centre during the examination. 
• Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid, and non-expired) – School Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph. 
• PwD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category, or PwD Certificate regarding physical limitation in an examination to write as per Annexure given in Information Bulletin, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category. 
• A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.

Aspirants can download their JEE Main admit card 2023 for January session from the official website-- jeemain.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in, using the application number and date of birth.

For the candidates who will be unable to appear on the scheduled date of the JEE Mains 2023 January session for any reason, no re-test will be held by the NTA under any circumstances.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2023 exam in two shifts. JEE Main 2023 shift 1 timing is 9 am to 12 pm while shift 2 timings are 3 pm to 6 pm. Aspirants appearing in the JEE Main 2023 are required to report at the examination centre 2 hours before the commencement of the exam for a hassle-free entry process.

JEE Main 2023 will be conducted in the following modes.

a) Paper 1 (BE /BTech) in computer based test (CBT) mode only.

b) Paper 2A (BArch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in CBT mode only and drawing test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.

c) Paper 2B (BPlanning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning-Based Questions (Part-III) in CBT mode only.

This year, the NTA has announced two attempts for JEE Mains 2023 exam for admission to engineering courses at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and participating state universities. JEE Main 2023 session 1 for paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be held on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31  followed by session 2 on April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

The National Testing Agency is yet to release the JEE Main admit card. Once JEE Main hall ticket is released, "under no circumstances the choice of cities for the centre and shift provided in the admit card shall be changed, the NTA JEE information bulletin read. 

With just three days left for the exam, the candidates can expect the NTA to release the JEE Main admit card soon. The candidate must show, on-demand, the JEE hall ticket downloaded from the NTA website for admission in the exam hall. The Test Centre Staff on duty is authorized to verify the identity of candidates and may take steps to verify and confirm the identity credentials. Candidates who do not possess valid admit cards and authorized Photo IDs will not be permitted to take the examination under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.

The JEE Main 2023 admit card for session 1 will be made available for download in the third week of January 2023. The timing for downloading the admit card for subsequent sessions of the examination will be announced on the NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in, the NTA information brochure read.

The NTA announced to release the JEE Mains 2023 admit card soon on the official website. "The Admit Card of JEE (Main) – 2023 Session 1 shall be issued later," the NTA JEE exam city intimation notice read.

NTA will issue JEE Main 2023 admit card soon on the official website -- jeemain.nta.nic.in soon. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has closed the JEE Main 2023 application form on January 12, 2023. The testing authority also opened the JEE Main application correction facility from January 13 to 14 at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023. 

Candidates can check exam centers of JEE Main 2023 from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main advance intimation for allotment of exam city has information on the allotment of city where the JEE Main 2023 exam centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates.

In JEE Main BArch paper, part 1 (Mathematics) and part 2 (Aptitude Test) of the question paper will be in computer-based test (CBT) mode only while part 3 (Drawing test) will be conducted offline in pen and paper-based mode. As per the JEE Main 2023 information brochure, 20 questions will comprise MCQs and five questions will have to be answered as a numerical value. As per JEE Main 2023 exam pattern, JEE willbe held for BE, BTech, BArch and BPlanning papers. The JEE exam will be held for MCQs and numerical questions. The JEE Mains 2023 paper 1 will have three sections -- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with a total of 90 questions. The new date of JEE Main 2023 is clashing with Bihar board Class 12 mathematics exam. The BSEB 12th board exam 2023 mathematics exam will be conducted in the first shift on February 1 from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. The timing of JEE Main 2023 is 9 am to 12 noon. While some students appearing for Bihar board Class 12 exam urged BSEB to extend exam dates, other candidates requested NTA to change the date.

The JEE Main 2023 exams will be held in shifts. While the first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, the second shift of JEE Main 2023 exam will be held between 3 pm and 6 pm. The reporting time for session 1 exam is 7 am and for session 2 exam is 1 pm.

The JEE Main 2023 will be conducted in two sessions-- January and April, for admissions in the next academic session 2023-24. Through this, a candidate will get two opportunities to improve their scores in the JEE Main exam if they are not able to give their best in one attempt.

Engineering aspirants can also download and install the SANDES application as a secondary channel to receive latest news and notifications from NTA regarding JEE Main 2023. SANDES app is available on both the Google play store and the app store.

The JEE Main admit card 2023 will include the following details of candidates.

• Name of the candidate
• JEE Main application number
• JEE Main roll number
• Candidate's photograph
• Candidate's signature
• Exam date
• Reporting time
• Shift timings
• Exam centre name
• Address
• Exam day instructions

In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidates or their photographs and signatures shown in the JEE main Admit Card 2023 and confirmation page, the candidate may immediately approach the NTA Help Line from 10 am to 5 pm. In such a case, the candidate would appear in the examination with the already downloaded JEE main admit card 2023. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.

The JEE Main 2023 BE, BTech, BArch and BPlanning candidates are required to check/download their Examination City Intimation slip of JEE Main 2023 session 1 using their JEE application number and date of birth from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE admit card link will be made live soon.

The JEE Main 2023 exam is not postponed. Hearing a plea on JEE Main 2023 postponement, the Bombay High Court said: "Any orders passed to postpone may have a cascading effect. If a student does not fare well in JEE January, he can compete in April. Extraordinary circumstances don't seem to exist. It wouldn't be appropriate to restrain the respondent from conducting a pan India exam," the high court said.

The JEE Main 2023 result will be compiled based on the final answer key declared. NTA will prepare the JEE Main 2023 score considering factors including multi-shift papers, raw (actual) marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions.

NTA has issued some key points on JEE Main 2023 admit cards. These are:

• The Candidates may please note that JEE Main 2023 admit cards will not be sent by post
• In no case, the duplicate Admit Card for JEE Main 2023 would be issued at the Examination Centres
• The candidates must not mutilate the NTA JEE admit card or change any entry made therein
• Candidates are advised to preserve their jeemain.nta.nic.in admit cards in good condition for future reference

According to JEE main 2023 dates, the JEE main admit card 2023 release date for session 1 exam is January third week.

To download Jeemain nta nic in admit card session 1, candidates will have to insert their JEE application numbers and dates of birth.

JEE Main session 1 exams will start on January 24 and will continue till February 1. The jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023 admit card link will be made available soon.

For the candidates who qualify for admission in the NITs, IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE Main ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the Class 12 examination or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 examination conducted by respective Boards. For SC / ST candidates, the qualifying marks should be 65% in the Class 12 examination.

Revising and tightening grip on important topics: It is important to master the fundamentals when appearing for any competitive exam, therefore, students must go through the subjects and topics again and again to make sure they fully understand them.

Mock Tests: Mock tests always prove to be a game changer as they help the candidates in recognizing errors and enable them to identify the subjects they should concentrate on along with their preparation gaps, and the issues they need to address.

Focus on topics with higher weightage: Weightage plays a huge role in scoring well in JEE Main exam. A student should focus on the higher weighted topics and questions first and then move on to other topics.

To check the JEE Main exam centre 2023, candidates taking the exam will have to follow this steps:

1. Go to the official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in
2. Then on the homepage, click on the JEE Main 2023 session 1 intimation slip link.
3. Next, enter the JEE Mains application numbers and dates of birth.
4. Submit and download the JEE Main 2023 intimation slip mentioning the JEE exam city centre

NTA has revised the JEE Main session 1 exam dates. As per the JEE Main 2023 exam date first attempt, JEE Mains 2023 will now be conducted on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. On January 28, only second shift exam will be held.

NTA will hold JEE Main 2023 BE, BTech exam for MCQs and numerical questions on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The JEE Main 2023 mock test is available on the mobile application ‘National Test Abhyas’ to prepare for the exam.

The JEE Main 2023 admit card link will be available at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The JEE 2023 exam city intimation slip has details of the candidates' JEE Main 2023 registration numbers, names, dates of birth, medium of question papers, dates of exam and cities of exam.

The JEE Main 2023 exam dates are January 24 to February 1. 

Candidates will not be able to download JEE Main 2023 admit card. The last date to download JEE 2023 admit card is June 30, 2023.

"Candidates are requested to retain a copy of the Confirmation Page, Admit Card, and Scorecard of the JEE (Main) – 2023 as the same will not be available after 30 June 2023," an NTA statement said.

To check and download JEE admit card 2023 for the January session exam, candidates will have to follow these steps:

3. Insert credentials

JEE Mains Shift Timings: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 exam dates. According to the new JEE Main dates, JEE Mains 2023 will now be conducted on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. Only second shift exam will be held on January 28.

JEE Main 2023 will be conducted in the following modes: 

• Paper 1 (BE /BTech) in computer-based test (CBT) mode only. 
• Paper 2A (BArch): Mathematics (Part 1) and Aptitude Test (Part 2) in computer-based test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test (Part 3) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size. 
• Paper 2B (B Planning): Mathematics (Part 1), Aptitude Test (Part 2), and Planning-Based Questions (Part 3) in computer-based test (CBT) mode only.

• January 18: JEE Main 2023 exam city intimation slip for session 1 released.
• January 13: JEE Main 2023 form correction portal opened at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023. 
• January 12: JEE Main 2023 registration ended.
• January 10: Bombay High Court refuses to postpone JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam. And NTA relaxed the 75 per cent eligibility criteria.

Candidates who have passed the class 12 or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022 or appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE Main 2023 examination. There is no age limit for the candidates. However, the candidates may be required to fulfil the age criteria of the institute to which they are desirous of taking admission.

The JEE Main 2023 exam will be conducted for a duration of three hours. The JEE Main paper will have multiple choice questions (MCQs) and questions with numerical values as answers. The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu languages.

The JEE Main 2023 will be conducted in two sessions for admissions in the next academic session. The candidates will thus benefit in the following ways:

• This will give two opportunities to the candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they are not able to give their best in one attempt. 
• In the first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the second time. 
• This will reduce the chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste an entire year.
• If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as the board exam), then he or she will not have to wait for one entire year.
• A candidate need not appear in both sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one session then his or her best scores will be considered for the preparation of the merit list or ranking.

JEE Main 2023 registration was held from December 15, 2022 to January 12, 2023. The JEE Main 2023 session 1 will be conducted on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, and February 1.

The JEE Main Session 2 exam will be held on April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2023. The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu languages.

For Multiple Choice Questions:

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
• Unanswered or marked for review will be given no mark (0). 
• If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
• If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
• If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared irrespective  

For Numerical Value Questions:

There will be negative markings for Section B. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner: 

• Correct Answer: Four marks (+4)
• Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)
• Unanswered/Marked for Review: No mark (0).
• If a question is found to be incorrect or the question is dropped then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.
• Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

JEE Main 2023 mock test is available on the mobile application ‘National Test Abhyas’. Candidates who are going to appear in the JEE Mains session 1, can access the mock test for free. 

NTA will soon release the admit card for JEE Main 2023 January session exam. According to the JEE Mains information brochure issued by the NTA, the JEE Main session 1 admit card was scheduled to be released in the third week of January 2023.

The JEE Main 2023 exam pattern will include BTech, BArch and BPlanning papers. The exam will be held for multiple choice questions (MCQs) and numerical questions. The BE, BTech paper of JEE Mains 2023 will have three sections -- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and will comprise of 90 questions. The BArch paper, or Paper 2A, of JEE Main exam will have three sections -- Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing and will have 82 questions. The BPlanning paper, or Paper 2B will comprise of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Planning-based questions and will have 105 questions.

The JEE Main 2023 Session 1 exam will be held in various centres located in 290 cities throughout the country and in 25 cities outside India.

JEE Main 2023 exam will be held on January 24,25, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2023 for BE/BTech (Paper 1 for Shift 1 and 2) and on January 28 (Shift 2 only) for BArch and BPlanning (Paper 2A and Paper 2B).

The JEE Main 2023 admit card release date and time will be notified soon by the National Testing Agency.

Once released, the JEE Main admit card 2023 can be downloaded from the below official websites of NTA:
