JEE Main 2023 Janaury 25 shift 2 questions were mainly formula based. Students found the JEE Main Jan 25 shift 2 Chemistry paper comprise of NCERT based questions, while questions asked in Physics and Maths subjects were formula based
According to Ramesh Batlish, FITJEE Noida, Centre head, the JEE Main 2023 question paper covered almost all chapters of class 11, 12 CBSE syllabus. JEE students said that the paper had a balanced coverage of all chapters and in terms of difficulty, Mathematics was moderate, Chemistry was easy to moderate and Physics was reported easy among the three subjects. The overall difficulty level of JEE Main 2023 question paper 2 was moderate.
In Mathematics the weightage was given to chapters of Calculus & Algebra. In Algebra- questions asked from Permutation & Combination, Progression & Series, Statistics, Complex Number, Binomial Theorem, Matrices, Determinants, Vectors & 3D Geometry. In Calculus – Limits & Continuity, Application of Derivatives, Area, Differential Equations, Definite Integral & Functions. In Co-ordinate Geometry questions asked from Straight Lines, Circles & Hyperbola. Few Numerical Based questions required lengthy calculations. This section was also lengthy as per students.
In JEE Main January 25 shift 2 Physics paper, questions were asked from almost all chapters with few good questions from Gravitation, Rotational Motion, Work, Power & Energy, Wave Optics, Electrostatics, Modern Physics, Units & Dimensions, Semiconductors, Magnetism, Kinematics, Heat & Thermodynamics. Numerical based questions were easy. According to students, it was a balanced section.
In JEE Main shift 2 Chemistry paper, weightage was given to Inorganic & Organic Chemistry. In Physical Chemistry, questions were asked from Electrochemistry, Ionic Equilibrium, Atomic Structure. Organic Chemistry had questions from Amines, Aldehydes & Ketones, Phenols, General Organic Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry was mostly from NCERT. Overall, the difficulty was easy to moderate.

The mathematics section was considered to be easy in difficulty level; physics was easy to moderate and Chemistry was also easy. As compared to last year, the overall difficulty level of JEE Main 2023 question paper for the second session was easy.
The JEE Main 2023 January 25 shift 1 was conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM. The question paper was similar to last year. In terms of difficulty level, the mathematics section was moderate, physics was considered to be easy while Chemistry was moderate.
