NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 session is set to begin tomorrow, January 24, 2023. JEE Main 2023 guidelines for exam day

The NTA has released a list of guidelines for JEE Main 2023 exam on the admit card. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions before the examination.

  • Candidates will be allowed entry or exit into/from the JEE Main 2023 exam centre only according to the schedule.
  • During the JEE Main 2023 exam, any conversation or gesture or disturbance in the examination hall will be deemed as misbehavior. If a candidate is found using unfair means or impersonating, their candidature will be cancelled and they will be liable to be debarred for taking exam either permanently or for a specified period according to the nature of the offence.
  • Candidates wearing any special attire due to religious reasons are advised to reach the exam centers earlier in order to undergo thorough checking and mandatory frisking.
  • Carrying the NTA JEE Main admit card 2023 clearly printed on A4 size sheets is mandatory. Candidates are also required to bring the following documents- self-declaration form/undertaking/proforma for printed on A4 size sheet, duly filled; valid photo ID proof; simple transparent ball point pen; a copy of same photograph that was used in application form to paste on attendance sheet; PwD certificate where applicable; documents related to scribes where applicable.
  • Candidates are required to follow the instructions strictly as instructed by the centre superintendent/invigilators.
  • Pen/Pencil and blank paper of rough work will be provided in the JEE exam hall. Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of their sheet. This sheet will be returned to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
  • Candidates will have to drop their JEE Main Hall Ticket 2023 and rough sheet in the box after displaying it to the invigilator.
  • Additional items allowed in the exam hall are- personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), personal transparent water bottle, mask and gloves, sugar tablets/ whole fruits for candidates who are diabetic.

JEE Main 2023 dress code

According to the official JEE Main notice, there is no strict dress code to be followed for the JEE Main exam 2023. However, there are a few general guidelines that are to be followed.

  • The examinees are not allowed to carry any metallic objects into the exam hall (also includes no metal part on the clothes). They should avoid wearing any piece of jewelry, watch, or any other gadgets and ornaments in to the JEE Main exam centre.
  • The candidates are not allowed to cover their face or head during the exam.
  • Clothes with noticeably large buttons, brooches, etc. should be avoided for the exam.
