NTA has advised candidates to carry the JEE Main admit card 2023 along with self declaration form (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website in a clear printout on A4 size paper. 

JEE Main 2023: Mode of exam

Candidates must carry the following items while reporting at the JEE Main exam centre.

1. JEE Main admit card along 

2. Duly filled-in self declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website

3. A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.

4. Additional photograph, to be pasted on the attendance sheet.

5. Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), if required.

6. Personal transparent water bottle.

7. Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.

NTA will conduct the JEE Mains 2023 exam in two sessions this year.

• JEE Main January (session 1) date -  January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2023
• JEE Main April (session 2) date - April 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12, 2023

• First of all candidates need to visit the JEE Main official website -- jeemain.nta.nic.in
• On the homepage, click on the ‘JEE Main 2023 admit card download’ link.
• Next, log in with the help of JEE Main 2023 application number and date of birth/password.
• The JEE Main admit card 2023 session 1 will get displayed on the screen.
• At last download and take a printout of admit card and carry it on the exam day.

To prevent cheating in the exam, the NTA has warned students that they may be debarred for 3 years in the future if found to have used unfair practices in the JEE Main 2023 exam.

The JEE Mains exam will be held in two shifts. While the first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, the second shift of JEE Main 2023 exam will be held between 3 pm and 6 pm. The reporting time for the first session is 7 am and for the second session is 1 pm.

NTA has issued the JEE Main 2023 exam city intimation slip on January 19, 2023. The JEE Main exam city intimation slip 2023 includes the name of the city where candidates have to reach to appear in the examination.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2023 exams in two sessions- January and April. The JEE Mains dates 2023 for the session 1 exam is January 24 to February 1 and JEE Main session 2 exam dates are between April 6 and 12, 2023.

The result of JEE Main 2023 of the candidates who indulge in Unfair means Practices will be cancelled and will not be declared. Similarly, the JEE Main result of those candidates who appear from the centre other than the one allotted to them or allow another candidate/person to write the examination on his behalf will be cancelled. No plea will be entertained in this regard, an NTA statement said.

Unlike previous years, National Testing Agency (NTA) is not releasing the JEE Mains admit card 2023 session 1 all at once. The admit cards for January 24-25 exam is up at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

There is no specific dress code for JEE Mains 2023. However, footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not permitted. Applicants should avoid wearing any kind of jewellery and ornaments. They are also not allowed to wear any electronic watches.

• Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2023 exam tomorrow will need to fill out an attendance sheet that the invigilator will provide. 
• On the attendance sheet, candidates need to sign and put their left thumb impression. 
• Additionally, applicants must include a coloured passport-sized photo that matches the one on the application form. 
• Candidates need to make sure that their left-hand thumb imprint is clean and does not have any tattoos or henna stains.

NTA will hold the JEE Main 2023 session 2 exams from April 6 to April 12, 2023. The session 2 application form will be available from February 7 to March 7, 2023. 

The JEE Main session 1 exam will be held from tomorrow, January 24 and the admit card for the same is active on the official website. As per the JEE Main 2023 exam pattern, 

• The BE, BTech paper will be held for multiple choice questions and numerical questions. 
• The JEE Main January 2023 exam for the BE, BTech paper will comprise 90 questions. 
• 30 questions each will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and each subject will be divided into two sections.

The NTA JEE Main 2022 hall ticket has a list of guidelines including filling up of a self-declaration (undertaling) form to make sure that all the JEE aspiranst, invigilators and staff members on the JEE exam centres are safe. Details including applicants’ names, registration numbers, test centres and dates of exam will have to be filled in the NTA JEE Main self-declaration form. The JEE candidate will also have to mention any symptoms of cold, cough, runny nose or fever.

According to a Twitter post by JEE aspirants, JEE Main 2023 exam set to be held on January 24 for a candidate in Lucknow has been postponed. As per JEE Main 2023 marking scheme, in Paper 1- BE, BTech, each subject (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) will have two sections comprise of 90 questions of 300 marks. Section A will comprise of 60 MCQs and Section B will comprise of 30 questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. JEE aspirants have to attempt 5 questions out of 10 and there will be negative markings for both section A and section B.

The tie between candidates obtaining equal total NTA scores in JEE Main 2023 paper 1 (BE, BTech) will be resolved in the following manner in descending order:

It is compulsory for candidates to carry the JEE Main 2023 admit card along with the self-declaration form on the day of the exam. Candidates without the admit card will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Candidates will also have to follow a certain JEE Main 2023 dress code.

IIT Guwahati will conduct the JEE Advanced 2023 exam on June 4. The JEE Advanced 2023 exam on June 4 will be held for both paper 1 and paper 2 in computer-based Test (CBT) mode in two shifts. For the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has relaxed the 75 percent eligibility criteria. According to an official notification, students who have scored 75% marks or are in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 of any education board will be eligible to seek admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.

Candidates appearing in the JEE Main 2023 exam again have been asking how to download old JEE Main admit card. The NTA while issuing the JEE information brochure said that applicants will not have the provision to download JEE Main 2023 admit card and other NTA JEE documents after June 30, 2023.

According to the official JEE Main 2023 exam guildeines, there is no strict dress code to be followed for the BE, BTech admission entrance tests starting tomorrow. However, there are a few general guidelines on JEE Main dress code that are to be followed.

4. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition for future reference
5. No JEE main admit card shall be issued to the candidates whose applications are found to be incomplete for any reasons (including indistinct/ doubtful photographs/unsigned Applications) or who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for the examination
6. Issue of JEE Main admit cards, however, shall not necessarily mean acceptance of eligibility which shall be further scrutinized at subsequent stages of the admission process

The JEE Main 2023 exam dates are:

JEE Main January Session: January 24 to February 1

JEE Main April Session: April 6 to 12

The jeemain nta nic in admit card download 2023 link will be made available for the candidates for January 25 exam today, January 22.

The JEE Main 2023 admit cards are not released for all the candidates. In case of some candidates, NTA while releasing the JEE Main 2023 admit cards on Saturday, January 21 said, the images are blurred. Hence, their admit cards have not been released.

The applicants taking the JEE Mains 2023 exam starting January 24 must download and print all pages that come with their JEE Main 2023 admit card and carry to the exam centre. Candidates will also be required to follow JEE dress code 2023.

JEE Main 2023 admit card will be released anytime soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2023 admit card for January 24 exam is out.

The applicants taking the JEE Mains 2023 exam starting January 24 must download and print all pages that come with their nta.jeemain.nic.in 2023 admit card and carry to the exam centre.

JEE Main candidates are advised to carry only the following with them into the examination venue:

i. Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in

ii. A simple transparent Ball Point Pen

iii. Additional photograph, to be pasted on the attendance sheet

iv. Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), if required

v. Personal transparent water bottle

vi. Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic

NTA has facilitated all candidates with an additional platform of UMANG and DigiLocker to download their documents including confirmation page, JEE Main 2023 admit card and score cards. Instruction will be provided in subsequent phases. Candidates are advised to visit the NTA Website and check their e-mails regularly for the latest updates.

These are the steps to download JEE Main 2023 hall ticket

• Go to the NTA website -- jeemain.nta.nic.in

• Click on the Session 1 admit card download link

• Login with application number and password, or application number and date of birth

• Download the JEE Main hall ticket and take a printout

• For the correct answer or the most appropriate answer, candidates will be awarded four marks.
• For an incorrect answer, there is a penalty of minus one mark.
• In case a question is left unanswered or marked for review, no mark will be given.
• In case, more than one option is found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
• Also, four marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question in which all options are found to be correct.
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

JEE Main session 1 admit card release date for January 24 exam is out at jeemain.nta.nic.in. While for remaining JEE papers, NTA will issue the JEE main 2023 hall tickets subsequently.

The JEE Main 2023 result will be compiled based on the final answer key declared. The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday, January 21 made the JEE Main 2023 admit cards for day 1 exam available. For January 25 exam, the admit cards will be issued today and for later exams subsequently.

NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2023 session 1 at different centres located in 290 cities throughout the country and 18 cities outside India on January 24, 25, 29, 30 , 31 and February 1 for BE, BTech (Paper 1) and 28 January (2nd Shift) for BArch and BPlanning (Paper 2A and Paper 2B). The JEE candiates have already been intimated about their city and their date of exam as well as shift on January 18.
