NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to issue the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 city intimation slip for the December session exams soon. Candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2025 exam city slip through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, once available. Candidates will require their application number and password to download the JEE Main 2025 exam city slip.

NTA has announced the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam schedule. JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 BE, BTech exams will be conducted from January 22 to 29 in two shifts while paper 2 for BArch, BPlan will be held on January 30 in a single shift. The JEE Main admit card 2025 will be issued three days before the exam.
The JEE Main 2025 city slip will mention the city in which the candidate’s examination centre will be located. The exam authorities stated that they will try to allot the JEE Main 2025 exam city to the candidates in order of their choices. In case, there are a very few number of candidates in a particular region, NTA will merge the exam centres. Applicants were asked to provide four choices of exam cities while filling the JEE Main application form 2025.
As per the JEE Main 2025 revised exam pattern, section B of the question paper will not include optional questions anymore. Students will be required to answer all five questions mandatorily.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025) admit card three days before the exam date. The session 1 exams are scheduled to commence on January 22 and the hall tickets are expected on January 19. Candidates will be able to download the JEE Main admit card 2025 using their registration number and password on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025) comprises of two papers - paper 1 is conducted for admission to engineering programs such as BE and BTech at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and colleges recognised by participating state governments.

Since the last three years, the top engineering branches have shown competitive closing ranks with computer science maintaining a high cutoff for candidates.

The highest JEE Main cutoff at NIT for admission to the BTech ECE programme last year was 3546 at NIT Tiruchirappalli for candidates outside Tamil Nadu. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts the counselling process for BTech admissions at NITs. Last year, JoSAA concluded five rounds of JEE Main counselling instead of six.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced changes in section B of the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern. As per the revised pattern, there will be a discontinuation of optional questions in JEE Main exam, wherein, section B will only have five questions per subject and candidates will have to attempt all five questions without any option for selection.
