JEE Main 2025 Live: NTA JEE exam city slip at jeemain.nta.nic.in soon; exam dates, cut-offs

The Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025) comprises of two papers - paper 1 is conducted for admission to engineering programs such as BE and BTech at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and colleges recognised by participating state governments.

Given below are the steps to download the JEE Main admit 2025. 

• Visit the JEE Main official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in
• Click on the JEE Main hall ticket 2025 download link available
• Select ‘Through application number and date of birth’ option.
• Enter the JEE Main 2025 application number and date of birth.
• Click on the ‘Sign In’ button
• Your admit card for JEE Main 2025 will appear on the screen 
• Download and print it out for future reference. 

Candidates can follow the steps to download the admit card using their application number and password. 

• Visit the website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2025 admit card
• Click on the JEE Main admit card 2025 link
• Choose ‘through application number and password’.
• Enter your JEE application number and password.
• Click on the 'Sign In' button available.
• Your admit card for JEE Main exam will appear on the screen.
• Check the details in the admit card and download the same.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download the PYQ for practise. 

• Go to the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in
• Click on the download or archive tab
• Now, click on JEE Main PYQ 2024
• A PDF will be displayed
• Download the PDF and save it

The JEE Main 2025 city slip release date is yet to be announced. Once available candidates can download the city slip through official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main 2025 admit card will be issued three days before the exam begins, January 19 (tentative).

Candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2025 admit card through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in using their login credentials. 

Candidates will require their application number and password to download the JEE Main 2025 exam city slip.

• Click on the link for the JEE Main 2025 exam city slip 
• Enter application number and date of birth
• JEE Main city intimation slip 2025 will be displayed
• Download for reference.

JEE Main 2025 paper 1 BE, BTech exams will be held from January 22 to 29 in two shifts while paper 2 for BArch, BPlan will be held on January 30 in a single shift.

The highest JEE Main cut-off at NIT Trichy was recorded at 1,224 for the BTech CSE programme. 

The JEE Main closing rank for the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science course at NIT Delhi was 4598 for the Home State (HS), gender-neutral, open category last year. This year, the JEE Main closing rank for the same course under the same category is 12510.

The JEE Main 2025 city slip will entail the city in which the candidate’s examination centre will be located. Candidates will require their application number and password to download the JEE Main 2025 exam city slip. 

Candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2025 city slip through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The highest JEE Main cutoff at which the National Institute of Technology (NIT) closed admission last year was 2186 for the BTech CSE programme for candidates outside Telangana. Since the last three years, the top engineering branches have shown competitive closing ranks with computer science maintaining a high cutoff for candidates.

The highest JEE Main cutoff at NIT for admission to the BTech ECE programme last year was 3546 at NIT Tiruchirappalli for candidates outside Tamil Nadu. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts the counselling process for BTech admissions at NITs. Last year, JoSAA concluded five rounds of JEE Main counselling instead of six.

Candidates must prepare for each topic thoroughly, especially the ones which have a high weightage in JEE Main exam. Given below are some important topics for PCM subjects. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced changes in section B of the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern. As per the revised pattern, there will be a discontinuation of optional questions in JEE Main exam, wherein, section B will only have five questions per subject and candidates will have to attempt all five questions without any option for selection.

The National Testing Agency has reduced the number of exam cities for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 from 300 to 284 this year. The international exam cities' count has been also slashed from 24 to 14.

The highest JEE Main cut-off at which a National Institute of Technology (NIT) closed admission to BTech Mechanical Engineering was 9,302 at NIT Tiruchirappalli for home-state quota candidates. NITs will admit students to its BTech programmes through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025.

JEE Main 2025 session 1 will be conducted from January 22 to 30. While paper 1 for BE, BTech programmes will be held from January 22 to January 29, paper 2 for BArch, BPlan will be conducted on January 30.
