NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 city intimation slip soon. The JEE Main 2025 city slip will be made available on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2025 exam will begin from January 22 to 30, 2025. NTA is likely to issue the JEE Main 2025 admit card three days before the exam on January 19, 2025.

As per the NTA schedule, the JEE Main 2025 exam for BTech will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, while the BArch exam will be conducted on January 30.
Candidates will be required application number and password to download the JEE Main 2025 admit card. Candidates will find details such as exam center, address, paper date, paper, reporting time, shift, roll number, and category details on the JEE Main 2025 admit card.
The JEE Main 2025 city slip will mention the city in which the candidate’s examination centre will be allotted. Candidates were given four choices for JEE Main exam cities while filling out the application form.
The NTA has revised the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern. According to the JEE Main 2025 revised pattern section B will not include optional questions. There will be only five questions per subject in JEE Main and students will be required to answer all five questions. The JEE The JEE main 2025 syllabus includes topics from three subjects - physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
Candidates will be given three hours to complete the examination. The exam will be held in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odisha, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer and a negative marking of -1 will be followed for each wrong answer.

The JEE Main BE/ BTech paper will be held in two shifts – the first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift between 3 pm and 6 pm.
JEE Main 2025 will be held for two papers – paper 1 (BE/ BTech) and paper 2 (BArch/ BPharm). JEE Main 2025 paper 1 will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29, paper 2 will be conducted only on January 30.

NTA has discontinued the optional question in the JEE Main exam section B. As per the revised pattern, section B will only have 5 questions and candidates will have to attend all the questions without any options for selection in the JEE Main exam for both paper 1 and paper 2.

Approximately 12.7 lakh students have registered for the JEE Main 2025.
