NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the next Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exams on January 28, 29, and 30. Candidates appearing for the JEE Mains 2025 session 1 exams can download the JEE Main admit card 2025 from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main paper 1 (BE, BTech) will be held on January 28 and 29 while paper 2 (BArch, BPlanning) is scheduled for January 30.

JEE Mains 2025 will be conducted in two shifts – shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. The duration of the NTA JEE examination will be three hours.

The first three days of JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams saw technical glitches, postponement, rescheduling, and mixed reactions from students on difficulty level. So far, the exam has been rated moderate in difficulty level.

Some students claimed errors in JEE Main question paper 2025, in the first shift on day 2 exam. NTA has also rescheduled the JEE Main January 22 exam for January 28 or 29 for 114 candidates who faced technical problems.

Moreover, NTA has changed a JEE Main 2025 exam centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya for candidates appearing on January 28, 29, and 30 exams, in view of MahaKumbh 2025. Earlier, the testing agency moved JEE Main 2025 exam centres in Prayagraj to Varanasi for candidates appearing on these exam dates for the very same reason.

JEE Mains 2025: NTA's instruction regarding admit card

NTA has asked JEE Main 2025 candidates to ensure that the QR Code and the barcode is available on the JEE Main 2025 admit card while downloading. Candidates have been told to bring the photo ID uploaded in the JEE Main application form 2025 and mentioned in the JEE Main admit card 2025 for verification purposes. 

"The candidates are advised to carefully read the subject-specific instructions and other instructions mentioned in the question paper and abide by the same," the official notice added.

JEE Main 2025 cut-offs: JEE Mains NIT Andhra Pradesh cutoffs drop for CSE programmes

The NIT Andhra Pradesh dropped JEE Main cutoffs dropped for CSE, ECE, and other Btech programmes last year. The JEE Main closing rank for last year at NIT Andhra Pradesh for BTech CSE was 14,707 marking a reduction of 4,851 for the home state quota. The JEE Main 2024 closing rank for electronics and communication engineering at NIT Andhra Pradesh was 24,588 slightly lower than previous year ranks.

Guidelines on dress code for JEE Mains 2025

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not announced any particular set of instructions regarding dress code for JEE Mains 2025. However, candidates, who will be appearing in the upcoming JEE Main 2025 exams should consider points before reaching the examination centre. 

  • Caps, scarves, jewellery and mettalic items are restricted.
  • Thick-soled shoes and clothes with large buttons are prohibited in exam hall.
  • Jeans are allowed but also try wearing some light weighted clothes to avoid discomfort during writing the exam.
  • Any kind of jewellery or ornament is strictly prohibited. 
  • Avoid belts as they will cause delay in security checks.
  • Do not wear accessories such as goggles, rings, bracelets or other similar items.
  • Shoes with thick soles are not allowed.
  • Any kind of stole, dupatta or scarf is not allowed.

What is the JEE Main 2025 result date?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet announced the JEE Main 2025 result date. As per the past trends, the NTA is expected to release the JEE Main 2025 result in the upcoming 2-3 months. Candidates should keep an eye on the NTA official website jeemain.nta.nic.in for important updates on JEE Main 2025 results and answer key after the completion of JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams.

The National Testing Agency has concluded the JEE Main 2025 exam for January 22, 23, and 24. The upcoming exams for JEE Main 2025 session 1 will be conducted on January 28, 29 and 30.

JEE Main 2025: Exam pattern

The National Testing Agency (NTA), recently, revised the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern and released the new one on its official website. As per the new pattern, the optional questions in section B have been removed for both paper 1 and paper 2, while all five questions in the section compulsory. The exam pattern consists details such as marking scheme, exam duration, mode of exam, and types of questions. The total marks for JEE Main 2025 exam are 300.

JEE Main 2025 day 4: Exam day guidelines

Candidates should follow the exam day guidelines for JEE Main 2025 day 4 as notified by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

  • It is must that the candidates should arrive at the JEE Main 2025 exam centre one hour before the commencement of exam.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the JEE Main 2025 examination hall after the gates are closed.
  • Every candidate will have to go through the checking process which is mandatory at every centre across India and outside the country as well.
  • Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2025 exam must carry their admit card and present it at the examination centre. 
  • Along with JEE Main 2025 admit card, candidates must also bring a valid address proof such as Adhaar card or driving license, or passport.
  • This is important to note that no candidate, under any circumstances will be allowed to enter the examination hall without showing the JEE Main 2025 admit card. 
  • Candidates are requested to depart from the examination hall after the completion of the exam in an orderly fashion.

JEE Main 2025 : Day 4 exam timings

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 for day 4 tomorrow, January 28. The duration of the examination will be three hours and held in two shifts. For morning batch, the exam will start from 9 am and will end at 12 noon. While, afternoon shift will be held from 3 to 6 pm.
