NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the next Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exams on January 28, 29, and 30. Candidates appearing for the JEE Mains 2025 session 1 exams can download the JEE Main admit card 2025 from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main paper 1 (BE, BTech) will be held on January 28 and 29 while paper 2 (BArch, BPlanning) is scheduled for January 30.

JEE Mains 2025 will be conducted in two shifts – shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. The duration of the NTA JEE examination will be three hours.
The first three days of JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams saw technical glitches, postponement, rescheduling, and mixed reactions from students on difficulty level. So far, the exam has been rated moderate in difficulty level.
Some students claimed errors in JEE Main question paper 2025, in the first shift on day 2 exam. NTA has also rescheduled the JEE Main January 22 exam for January 28 or 29 for 114 candidates who faced technical problems.
Moreover, NTA has changed a JEE Main 2025 exam centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya for candidates appearing on January 28, 29, and 30 exams, in view of MahaKumbh 2025. Earlier, the testing agency moved JEE Main 2025 exam centres in Prayagraj to Varanasi for candidates appearing on these exam dates for the very same reason.

NTA has asked JEE Main 2025 candidates to ensure that the QR Code and the barcode is available on the JEE Main 2025 admit card while downloading. Candidates have been told to bring the photo ID uploaded in the JEE Main application form 2025 and mentioned in the JEE Main admit card 2025 for verification purposes.
"The candidates are advised to carefully read the subject-specific instructions and other instructions mentioned in the question paper and abide by the same," the official notice added.

The NIT Andhra Pradesh dropped JEE Main cutoffs dropped for CSE, ECE, and other Btech programmes last year. The JEE Main closing rank for last year at NIT Andhra Pradesh for BTech CSE was 14,707 marking a reduction of 4,851 for the home state quota. The JEE Main 2024 closing rank for electronics and communication engineering at NIT Andhra Pradesh was 24,588 slightly lower than previous year ranks.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made few minor changes in the JEE Main syllabus 2025. The changes are made in Physics section, topics including scalars and vectors, vector addition and subtraction, scalar and vector products, unit vectors and vector resolution have been chopped from the JEE Main syllabus 2025.
