NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 January 24 exam for both shifts. The evening Shift exam was held from 3 pm to 6 pm. As per the student’s reaction, the evening shift paper was relatively easier than all previous shifts of 2025 and the corresponding shifts of the previous year,2024. According to candidates who appeared in the exam, the maths section was more difficult than the physics and chemistry. The maths section was lengthy and time-consuming as compared to others. NTA also conducted the JEE Mains January 24 shift 1 exam today which was held from 9 am to 12 noon.

The physics section included 3-4 questions from Magnetism, primarily based on graphical interpretations and maths section featured 3-4 questions from the topic of conic sections. The JEE Mains 2025 January 24 shift 2 paper analysis, and JEE Main 2025 unofficial answer keys will also be published by various coaching institutes and experts.

Candidates can cross-check all their answers and calculate their probable scores for the JEE Mains 2025 exam. As per the JEE Mains marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

Physics: JEE Mains 2025 January 24 Shift 2 physics section analysis

As per students’ reactions, the physics subject questions were relatively easier than maths. Today’s evening shift paper was easy as compared to the previous shift and last year’s JEE Mains question paper.

The list of questions asked in the JEE Mains January 24 shift 2 physics section were:

  • 2- 3 Questions were asked from Modern Physics

  • 3-4 Questions were asked from Magnetism

  • 1-2 Questions were asked from Sound Wave

  • 1 Question was asked from Current electricity

  • 1 Question was asked from Gravitation based on Potential Graph

  • 1 Question was asked from Logic Gates based on (OR and NOR ) Gate

Maths: JEE Mains 2025 January 24 Shift 2 maths section analysis

According to students, the math section of the January 24 2025 evening shift paper was moderately hard and more lengthy compared to physics and chemistry, consistent with the trends observed over the past two years. Moreover, the paper included 3-4 questions from the conic section and was easier as compared to the previous five shifts of the JEE Mains 2025 exam.

  • 1 to 2 from permutation and combination was seen.

  • 1 question based on the area under the curve.

  • 3 questions from vector 3 D were seen.

The overall difficulty level of Chemistry was “easy.”According to student’s, the proportion of questions from organic chemistry was more than both other sections, that is physical and inorganic chemistry.

  • 2-3 questions were from the Mole concept based on estimation

  • 1-2 questions were from Salt analysis

  • 1 question was from General Organic chemistry

  • 1 question was from Biomolecules

  • 3 questions were from Coordination chemistry based on VBT

  • 1 question on stereoisomers

  • 1 question was from the ionic equilibrium

  • 1 question was from electrochemistry based on the conductance concept

  • 1 question based on thermochemistry based on heat concept

  • 1 question was from Amino Acids

  • 1 question was asked from the Periodic classification of elements based on the trend of ionization energy
