JEE Main 2025: NIT cut off marks for BTech in Mechanical Engineering went up this year; know closing rank

Try NowNEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main cut-offs at the National Institute of Technologies (NITs) saw an increase in Mechanical Engineering BTech programmes compared to last year. For the home state quota, the highest closing rank for BTech in Mechanical Engineering was 12,94,100 for NIT Mizoram.

The institute with the lowest closing rank was NIT Tiruchirappalli, with a closing rank of 16,002 in the Mechanical Engineering course from home state quota. In 2023, the closing rank for admission into BTech in Mechanical Engineering at NIT Mizoram was 6,36,017 and for NIT Tiruchirappalli was 16,238.
Candidates seeking admission into NITs or other engineering institutes will have to appear for the JEE Main 2025 exam. The counselling for admission to the BTech programmes at the NITs will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main 2025 exam in two sessions. The first session is scheduled to take place from January 22 to 31, 2025, while the second session is tentatively scheduled for April 1 to 8, 2025.
Top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2025 for admission into Indian Institutes of Technologies (IITs). IIT Kanpur will host the JEE Advanced exam this year. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be held on May 18.
