JEE Main 2025 Live: Exam city slip soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in; exam pattern changes, admit card release date

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet announced the official release date for JEE Main 2025 city intimation slip. Candidates will be able to download the slip from official website,  jeemain.nta.nic.in, once its released.

Approximately 12.7 lakh students have registered for the JEE Main 2025. Only the top 2.5 lakh rank holders will be eligible to appear in the JEE Main 2025 exam which is the gateway exam for IIT admissions.

• Visit the official website for JEE Main 2025 exam city slip, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• Move the cursor and click on the JEE Main 2025 city intimation slip.
• A window will appear where you need to enter your application number and date of birth (DOB).
• After putting your details, you will see the JEE Main exam city slip 2025 on the screen.
• Download the slip and take a printout.

The registered candidates can download the JEE Main 2025 exam city slip through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. To download the exam city slip, candidates need to use their application number and password.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will award four marks for each correct answer and deduct one mark for each incorrect response. No marks will be awarded for unattempted question, as per the JEE Main marking scheme 2025.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the session 2 registration for JEE Main exam 2025 from January 31.

The JEE Main 2025 admit card release date is yet to be announced by NTA.

• Visit the website at jeemain.nta.nic.in 
• Click on the JEE Main Admit Card 2025 link
• Enter your application number and password.
• Click on the 'Sign In' button available.
• The admit card of JEE Main will appear on the candidates portal.
• Check the details and download the admit card.

Candidates will need their application number and date of birth or password to download their JEE Main 2025 admit card.

Candidates can check the JEE Main intimation city slip 2025 for the BTech paper when available on the official website at  jeemain.nta.nic.in.

NTA will use the JEE Main 2025 marking scheme as follows:

• Correct Answer: +4 marks
• Incorrect Answer: -1 mark
• Unanswered/Marked for Review: 0 marks

Candidates are allowed to bring their valid ID proof such as an Aadhar card, voter ID, driving license, etc along with the JEE main 2025 admit card while appearing for the exam. 

NTA will release the JEE Main 2025 exam city slip for the BTech exam soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The admit card will released after the JEE main exam city slip.

As per the JEE Main exam analysis, candidates find the maths section toughest as compared to physics and chemistry. A few important topics with high weightage include Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, and Trigonometry. To score well in the maths section, candidates must practice from various sources.

Steps to download JEE Main question paper are as follows:

• Go to the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in
• Click on the download or archive tab
• Now, click on JEE Main PYQ 20244
• A PDF will be displayed
• Download the PDF and save it

NTA has discontinued the optional question in the JEE Main exam section B. As per the revised pattern, section B will only have 5 questions and candidates will have to attend all the questions without any options for selection in the JEE Main exam for both paper 1 and paper 2.

The JEE Main 2025 city slip will include the city in which the candidate’s exam centre will be allotted. 

The JEE Main 2025 admit card will be issued three days before the exam, that is, January 19, 2025.

NTA announced the JEE Main 2025 January exam date at jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the schedule, the JEE Main 2025 exam will be held from January 22 to 30, 2025.

The JEE Mains 2025 will be conducted in 13 languages - Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu in addition to Hindi, English, and Gujarati. 

The JEE Main 2025 syllabus includes three subjects - physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh saw a drop in JEE Main cut-offs for the major BTech programmes such as computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, civil engineering, etc. The closing rank for Tech CSE at NIT AP was 14707.

The JEE Main 2025 paper 1 for BE, BTech will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29 whereas paper 2 for BArch, BPlan will be held on January 30, 2025.

As per the new update, the total number of exam cities has dropped from 300 last year to 284 this year. NTA has also reduced the number of international exam cities from 24 to 14 for this year's exam.
