JEE Main 2025 Live: NTA JEE Mains admit card soon; exam city slip, previous years' question papers

The NTA has revised the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern and removed the optional questions in section B. The optional questions were introduced during the Covid period considering the academic challenges faced by the students. However, the NTA has informed that only 5 compulsory question will be provided in the section B from this year onwards. 

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has invited applications from north-eastern students for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025). The board has announced special initiatives and an additional counselling round for admission to NIT+ institutions. There are a total of 740 seats across India under the North Eastern States and Some of Union Territories (NEUT) category.

The following JEE Main login credentials will be required to download the JEE Main admit card 2025:

• Date of birth (DOB)

Candidates will be given three hours to complete the examination. The exam will be held in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odisha, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

NTA has not announced any official JEE Mains 2025 admit card release date, however, the JEE Main admit card is expected to be released on January 19, three days before the exam begins.

JEE toppers have also recommended to take JEE Main mock tests to become more familiar with the computer-based test and marking scheme. A simulation of the real exam will help candidates boost their confidence for the exam. 

According to the NTA schedule, the JEE Main 2025 exam for BTech will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28,  and 29, while the BArch exam will be conducted on January 30.

As per the JEE Main 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be given four marks for each correct answer and deduct one mark for each incorrect response. However, no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

As per the JEE Main 2024 session 1 overall analysis most of the questions were based on the NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks. More weightage was given to Class 12 chapters in all three subjects - mathematics, chemistry, and physics.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi witnessed a drop in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main cut-offs for all major BTech programmes over the last three years. The institute will admit students to its engineering programmes through JEE Main 2025 scores.

There will be a total of 90 questions in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 session 1 exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the JEE Main exam pattern 2025. 

The JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 exam for BE, BTech will be conducted from January 22 to 29 in two shifts. Paper 2 for BArch and BPlanning will be held on January 30 in a single shift.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reduced the number of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exam cities from 300 to 284 this year.
