NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 city slip is available on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the JEE Main 2025 admit card next. Candidates who completed the JEE Main 2025 registration can download the JEE Main city intimation slip 2025 using their application number and date of birth.

The JEE Mains hall ticket 2025 is expected to be released three days before the exam. The first session of the JEE Mains 2025 is scheduled to take place from January 22, 2025 to January 30, 2025.
According to the JEE Main 2025 exam schedule, paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, and paper 2 will be conducted on January 30. Paper 1 will be administered in two shifts – shift 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Paper 2 exam timings are 3 pm to 6:30 pm.
In the latest update, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has announced that a special round of JEE Main counselling will be held for north-eastern students who do not secure a seat in the initial phases of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) admissions. The decision has been taken in view of the challenges faced by such aspirants.
NTA has introduced major changes in the JEE Main exam this year, by dropping optional questions from section b of JEE Main paper and revising the JEE Main 2025 tie-breaking rule.

The NTA will be conducting the JEE Main paper 2 exam for session 1 on January 30. Those who registered for JEE Main BArch and BPlanning or both will have to note that the exams will be conducted in the second shift from 3 pm to 6.30 pm
The NTA has revised the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern and removed the optional questions in section B. The optional questions were introduced during the Covid period considering the academic challenges faced by the students. However, the NTA has informed that only 5 compulsory question will be provided in the section B from this year onwards.
The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has invited applications from north-eastern students for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025). The board has announced special initiatives and an additional counselling round for admission to NIT+ institutions. There are a total of 740 seats across India under the North Eastern States and Some of Union Territories (NEUT) category.

“With focused preparation, including mastering core concepts, regular practice, effective time management students can confidently excel in the JEE Main 2025 exam,” says K Umamaheshwar Rao Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) chairperson.

According to the NTA schedule, the JEE Main 2025 exam for BTech will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, while the BArch exam will be conducted on January 30.
As per the JEE Main 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be given four marks for each correct answer and deduct one mark for each incorrect response. However, no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
