NTA JEE Main 2026 session 1 admit card out at jeemain.nta.nic.in for January 21-24 exams

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the admit card for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2026) session 1 exams scheduled to be conducted from January 21 to 24. Candidates will have to enter their application number and password to download the JEE Main 2026 admit card. The admit card will carry details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph and signature, examination date and time, reporting time, and exam centre address.

The testing agency will conduct the JEE Main 2026 for Bachelor of Technology (BTech) from January 21 to 24 and on January 28, 2026, while the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) papers will be held on January 29, 2026. The JEE Main hall tickets for the remaining exams will be issued later, the NTA clarified.

Each day’s exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first shift will run from 9 am to 12 pm, and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The JEE Main admit card 2026 for the remaining exam dates will be available two or three days before the exam date. JEE Main 2026 Admit Card: Exam pattern

The JEE Main 2026 paper 1 will be conducted as a computer-based test for a duration of three hours for general candidates and four hours for candidates with disabilities.

Paper 1 will cover Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with 25 questions in each subject, making a total of 75 questions. The question types include multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in Section A and numerical value-based questions in Section B.

The total marks for the paper are 300, with a marking scheme of +4 for each correct answer, -1 for each incorrect response, and zero for unattempted questions.

Engineering aspirants who qualify JEE Main 2026 will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam. Registration for JEE Advanced 2026 will be open from April 23 to May 2, and candidates can register through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.
