Moreover, the testing agency has also announced that it will begin the registration for the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 from tomorrow. Candidates seeking admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlanning programmes will be able to apply for JEE Mains 2026 session 2 through the official portal by February 25.
The tentative application window will remain open from February 1 to 25 and candidates will be able to apply at NTA’s official website jeemain.nta.nic.in
As per the official schedule, the JEE Main 2026 session 2 examination is to be held from April 2 to April 9, 2026. The admit cards will be released around three to four days before the exam dates.
Candidates who have passed the class 12 or equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025, as well as students appearing for the class 12 or equivalent exam in 2026, are eligible for JEE Main 2026 session 2. There is no age limit to apply for the examination.

Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 can complete the online application process by following the below steps:

Visit the official JEE Main website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Click on the link for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration on the homepage.

Register yourself and log in using the generated credentials.

Carefully fill in the online application form.

Upload the required documents and complete the fee payment.

Submit the application and download or print a copy for future reference.

JEE Main 2026 session 2: Mode of Examination
The JEE Main 2026 session 2 will be conducted in different formats depending on the paper chosen by the candidates. While most sections will be held online, some components will be conducted in offline mode as specified below.

Paper 1 (BE,B Tech): The exam will be conducted entirely in computer-based mode.

Paper 2A (B Arch): The mathematics and aptitude sections will be held in computer-based mode, while the drawing test will be conducted offline using pen and paper on an A4-size drawing sheet.

Paper 2B (B Planning): All sections, including mathematics, aptitude, and planning-based questions, will be conducted in computer-based mode.
