The NTA will declare the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 results by April 20 for admission to engineering institutes across the country. Only 2.5 lakh candidates will qualify for the college entrance tests and be eligible for JEE Advanced.
In the JEE Main 2026 Jan session exams 2026, 12 students grabbed top ranks with scores in the 100th percentile.
As per previous years' trends, JEE BArch and BPlanning are expected to be easy to moderate, with mathematics and Aptitude being relatively scoring, while the drawing and planning sections may take more time.
Mathematics may include algebra, calculus, and coordinate geometry, and aptitude is likely to focus on 3D perception and patterns. The exact and overall analysis will be available only after the JEE Main 2026 April 7 exam concludes.
Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE qualified aspirants will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will conduct the JEE Advanced exam on May 17. Paper 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, and paper 2 will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Only AIR ranks will be used for admissions through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other engineering colleges across the country.
