Candidates who will be appearing for the JEE Main 2026 shift 2 exam today can download the admit card through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The JEE Main 2026 examinations conducted on January 21 and 22 have concluded, with no irregularities reported by the testing agency. The JEE Main 2026 exam held on January 21 and January 22 concluded with mixed difficulty levels. While the January 21 papers were rated moderate to tough, the January 22 Day 2 shift 1 exam was assessed as easy to moderate overall, with Chemistry emerging as the most challenging section, followed by Mathematics and Physics.

The testing agency has rescheduled the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination scheduled for January 23 in West Bengal due to Saraswati Puja. Candidates allotted centres in the state will be given an alternative date from the existing Session 1 schedule. NTA said the decision was taken after representations from candidates and that affected candidates will be informed of the revised date through official channels.

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam is being held in two shifts. Shift 1 is scheduled from 9 am to 12 pm, while Shift 2 will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates are required to follow the reporting time and gate closing time mentioned on their admit cards.

Candidates who have not downloaded the JEE Main 2026 admit card can download it from the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA has asked candidates who did not complete registration through Aadhaar authentication to report early at the examination centre and arrive at least one hour before the gate closing time to complete biometric verification.

After the completion of each shift, the analysis of the question paper will be available based on student responses and expert inputs. The shift-wise paper analysis will include details on the overall structure of the exam, section-wise coverage, and feedback on the questions asked in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Dress code for JEE Mains 2026

The dress code for JEE Mains 2026 applicants is as follows.

JEE Main 2026 exam postponed for January 23?

The JEE Main 2026 exam for January 23 has been rescheduled by the National Testing Agency (NTA) due to the celebration of Saraswati Puja. Candidates can download their JEE Main 2026 admit cards through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

“In view of the representations received from candidates in the state of West Bengal regarding the celebration of Saraswati Puja on 23rd January 2026, it has been decided that all candidates scheduled to appear for JEE (Main) in West Bengal on 23rd January 2026 shall be allotted another date of examination among the advertised dates for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 examination,” the NTA posted on X.

JEE Main 2026 Exam: IIT Bombay AE cut-off trends

A review of the past three years’ JoSAA data shows a steady decline in closing ranks for IIT Bombay’s Aerospace Engineering programme. In 2025, 17,209 candidates opted for the course, with the open category gender-neutral closing rank dropping to 2,361 from 2,394 in 2024. The data also reflects changes across other categories, including EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and female-only seats.
