Candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 2026 exam can check their answers using the unofficial answer key shared by several coaching institutes and subject experts to evaluate their expected JEE Main 2026 scores.
NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2026 Jan 23 shift 2 exam from 3 pm to 4 pm. NTA has advised candidates to reach exam centres before the entry gate closes.
JEE Main 2026 Jan 23 Shift 1: Overall Analysis
According to subject experts, the overall difficulty level of the exam was "easy to moderate." The maths section had lengthy questions, while chemistry was balanced, and physics was easy.
Overall analysis: Maths> Chemistry> Physics
Notably, the paper was at the same level as compared to JEE Main last year's shift. The difficulty level of the physics section was similar to yesterday's paper.
JEE Main 2026 Jan 23: PCM section-wise analysis
Notably, the overall difficulty level of the JEE Main January 23 morning shift Physics section was the same Jan 22 and 21 papers. The chemistry questions were "tricky and time-consuming" as per Careers360 subject experts. The physics section was "easy" as compared to both the maths and chemistry sections.

As per the students' reaction, the JEE Main Jan 22 shift 1 paper 2026 was moderate to hard, and shift 2 was moderate in difficulty level. The paper was "balanced" as compared to last year's questions asked. Few students said physics was tough, whereas subject experts said the maths section was tougher.
NTA is yet to issue JEE Main 2026 session 1 admit cards for January 28 and 29 exams on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
