A total of 20,323 choice count was recorded for the 4-year BTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) last year. The session 1 Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from January 22 to 30. Students desirous of pursuing AI programmes can check the courses offered by the institutes and IIT, NIT cut-offs for artificial intelligence courses, to know the competition level.
IIT Kharagpur, NIT Karnataka, Surathkal , NIT Rourkela, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat offer a 4-year BTech in Artificial Intelligence based on the JEE Advanced and JEE Main rank 2025.
IIT Madras’s BTech in AI and Data Analytics course, which was launched in June 2024, has immediately gained popularity by becoming the third popular course last year. A total of 20,323 aspirants have opted for the course, as per the Joint Implementation Committee (JIC) report.
AI courses gaining popularity
A total 10,637 aspirants preferred to pursue the 4-year BTech Data Science and Artificial Intelligence offered by IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati , IIT Bhilai, IIIT Dharwad, and IIIT Naya Raipur. Besides these courses, the closing rank for BTech Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence offered at IIIT Lucknow was at 9384 for gender-neutral category.
