The JEE Main marks calculator is an online tool that helps engineering aspirants estimate their raw score in the JEE Main exam. By entering the number of correct and incorrect responses, the calculator applies the official marking scheme to calculate the probable score.
The JEE Main percentage is derived from the actual marks secured by a student, whereas the percentile indicates the student's performance in comparison to others, taking into account the overall performance in the exam.
The JEE Main 2025 result will include details like the candidate’s name, application number, roll number, NTA scores, percentile, all India rank, and eligibility status for the JEE Advanced exam, among other information.
The minimum percentage of marks required to be included in the JEE Advanced rank list is mentioned below.

No. NTA has not announced the JEE Main 2025 result time. However, the testing agency posted on X that the JEE Main result 2025 will be announced by tomorrow, April 19.
The NTA calculates JEE Main 2025 percentile scores separately for each subject — Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics — as well as for the overall score. This is done using a normalisation formula, as outlined below.
Category | Details |
Total Percentile (T1P) | (100 x No. of candidates from the session with a raw score equal to or less than T1 score) / Total No. of candidates who appeared in the session |
Mathematics Percentile (M1P) | (100 x No. of candidates appeared from the session with a raw score equal to or less than than M1 score in Mathematics) / Total No. of candidates who appeared in the session |
Chemistry Percentile (C1P): | (100 x No. of candidates appeared from the session with a raw score equal to or less than C1 score in Chemistry) / Total No. of candidates who appeared in the session |
Physics Percentile (P1P) | (100 x No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than P1 score in Physics) / Total No. of candidates who appeared in the session |
As per the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 answer key, NTA has revised the answer for Physics question ID 347577574 from '125' to '5', aligning with expert feedback. Candidates can estimate their JEE Main 2025 scores using the JEE Main score calculator. Engineering aspirants can use the JEE Main score calculator by entering details like the number of correct and incorrect answers. The calculator will then apply the official marking scheme to compute the raw score. It will also estimate the percentile and rank based on the calculated JEE Main score.
The JEE Main percentile score reflects a candidate’s relative performance compared to all others who appeared for the JEE Main 2025 exam. It is not the actual marks but a score calculated on a scale of 100 to 0, based on the candidate’s performance in their respective session. The percentile indicates the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or lower than a particular score, helping to normalise results across multiple shifts of the exam.
The category-wise expected JEE Main 2025 cut-off is given below.
Category | JEE Main cut-off 2025 |
General | 92 - 100 |
EWS | 83 - 92 |
