NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 27 : In a notification published on its website, the exam conducting body, Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEEC), Uttar Pradesh, has announced that JEECUP 2019 will be held on April 28. An offline entrance exam, JEECUP is conducted every year for admission to diploma courses, including engineering, offered by polytechnic institutes in the state of UP. The tentative start date of application form has also been announced; applications will be available in 3rd week of December.
JEECUP 2019 will an objective-type test comprising 100 MCQs. Each question will carry 4 marks, while for incorrect attempt 1 mark will be deducted.

Check your eligibility before applying for the exam
Candidates must note that depending on the course they are applying to, the eligibility criteria would vary. Even in case of engineering programmes, the criteria are different for engineering & technology program and agricultural engineering. For example, for admission to agriculture engineering program the candidate needs to have studied Agriculture as one of the subjects in Class X or XII.
A brief on how to fill the application form
Application forms will be available in online mode only and have to be filled through the application portal. It is recommended that candidates go through the information brochure - which should be available alongside the application form - before starting the application filling process. This will cut down on unnecessary errors and make the process smoother.
Steps to fill the application form

Registration - The candidate will be able to register using valid email id and mobile number, among other details.

Filling of application form - In this section, academic, personal and communication details have to be entered.

Uploading of documents - Make sure that the photograph and signature that is uploaded meet the prescribed specification

Payment of exam fee - Both online and offline (through e-challan) modes are available. Application fee is Rs. 300 for open, and Rs. 200 for SC/ST candidates.

Submission of the form - Check that the application is complete in all respects before submitting it.
