Private member proposal seeking animal sciences university turned down amid voice vote
Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Thursday rejected a Private Members' resolution seeking establishment of Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in Jammu region .
The resolution was moved by Legislator Narinder Singh Raina which reads, "this House urges for the proposal of establishment of a Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in the Jammu region: a strategic imperative for Viksit Bharat @2047".
Legislators Mir Saifullah of National Conference and Nizam-ud-Din Bhat of Congress moved amendments on the resolution which was Later disallowed with voice vote.
