JMI’s Residential Coaching Academy invites application for free civil service coaching; selection process

NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia's Residential Coaching Academy is accepting applications for free civil services coaching. The JMI coaching is for preliminary and mains exam 2025. The JMI RCA academy will be accepting applications from minority, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and female candidates only. Candidates will be able to submit their application forms starting March 18.

This year, 100 seats are available. Hostel accommodation is mandatory and will be supplied to all enrolled students. In the case of a scarcity, hostel seats may be prioritised exclusively based on the merit obtained in the entrance test. If there aren't enough qualified candidates, RCA maintains the right to reduce the number of intake.

JMI IAS Coaching: Selection process

The selection of applicants includes an entrance test and interview. The written test is scheduled to be held on June 1. The entrance test will be held in ten Cities. Test centres will be located in ten cities as follows: Delhi, Srinagar, Jammu, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Mumbai, Patna, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Malappuram (Kerala).

The exam will be divided into two parts- paper 1 and 2. Paper 1. Paper 1 is general studies and paper 2 is essay writing. Paper 1 will consist of objective type questions only. The test will be conducted to assess the candidate's knowledge on general awareness, critical thinking, logical thinking, reasoning, comprehension and written communication.

The paper 1 carries 100 marks whereas paper 2 carries 60 marks. Based on the merit obtained from Paper 1 (MCQ test marks), the essays of only the top 900 students will be evaluated. The interview carries a total of 40 marks and it will be held online.
