JNU asks canteen-dhabha owners to clear dues, vacate university premises by June 30

NEW DELHI: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) vice-chancellor Santishree D Pandit met Kazakhstan diplomat Nurlan Zhalgasbayev to discuss academic cooperation and the setting up of a JNU campus in Kazakhstan.
The move has been taken in the direction of implementing the internationalisation of JNU, the university administration informed through a tweet. "Working towards implementing Internationalization of JNU, VC Prof. Santishree D. Pandit met Mr. Nurlan Zhalgasbayev, Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Republic of Kazakhstan. Talks focussed on academic co-operation & setting up of an offshore JNU campus in Kazakhstan," said the tweet.

In a recent conversation with Careers360, IIT Delhi director Rangan Banerjee said that a cross-IIT committee is considering the possibility of setting up an IIT campus in a foreign country. According to him, several countries have shown interest in such an initiative.
