JNU to rename newly created B-School after former PM Vajpayee

NEW DELHI, AUGUST 24: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) during its recent Executive Council has decided rename its newest School of Management and Entrepreneurship, as Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship, after former Prime Minister .
The newly announced B-school will witness its first batch of students fro m July 2019. As confirmed by the University authorities, JNU will be a new entrant to the list of non-IIMs which would be accepting CAT 2018 scores for admission to their MBA programme.
Besides management, the University is also seeking to diversify and introduce new courses in the field of engineering.
The decision to rename its Management School after the former PM was among the few important decisions that the EC took during the meeting. Additionally, the EC will also apply for funding from the Higher Education Funding Agency (HEFA) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development’s ( MHRD ) latest funding scheme to create state-of-the-art infrastructure, additional hostel accommodation and student amenities.
