The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2025 has started the registrations for counselling and choice filling for candidates, who have qualified the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) for admission to 128 institutions, including IITs, and NITs for the academic year 2025-26.

The registration link to apply for the JoSAA counselling and choice filling can be accessed through the official website at josaa.admissions.nic.in.

Candidates will have to type their login details such as JEE Main 2025 application number and password to register for the JoSAA counselling and choice filling for admission to BTech programmes.

A total of 127 institutions, including 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology Shibpur, 26 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), and 46 other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

a) "State code of eligibility" is determined using a qualifying examination certificate

b) The candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate from the National Open School must bring the proof of place of examination centre of the final examination to determine the state code.

Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST) if applicable and as per format:

The OBC-NCL certificate should be dated on or after April 1, 2025. The certificate should clearly mention that the candidate belongs to the non-creamy layer and the caste of the candidate must be in the state-wise central list of OBCs

Medical certificate as per the given format

Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable

Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), if applicable as per the given format:

The OBC-NCL certificate should be dated on or after April 1, 2025. The certificate should clearly mention that the candidate belongs to the non-creamy layer and the caste of the candidate must be in the state-wise central list of OBCs

Passport of the candidates and parents (for foreign nationals) / OCI certificate or PIO card if applicable

Passport – Indian nationals who passed the qualifying examination from Nepal/Bhutan or an institution abroad. The permanent address given in the passport will determine the state code.
