The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the JoSAA round 3 cutoff list 2026 today, July 6, 2026 on the official JoSAA portal at josaa.nic.in. The authority has also declared the JoSAA round 3 seat allotment results 2026. Applicants can check their result by using the details, including JEE (Main) 2026 application number, password and security pin.

The JoSAA 2026 round 3 cutoff has been released in the form of opening and closing ranks, indicating the range of ranks at which candidates secured admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The cutoff has been published separately for different categories, including Open, EWS, SC, ST, and PwD, to facilitate category-wise admissions.

Candidates who decide to accept the allotted seat must pay the seat acceptance fee (SAF). The fee is Rs 30,000 for candidates belonging to the Open and OBC categories, while those from reserved categories are required to pay Rs 15,000.
Now, the JoSAA 2026 round 3 seat allotment is announced, candidates must log in to the counselling portal to respond to their allotted seat. They can either accept the seat, decline it, or choose to participate in the subsequent counselling rounds by selecting one of the available options: freeze, float, or slide.
The freeze option is meant for candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seat and do not wish to participate in any further rounds. If a seat has been allotted based on the candidate's first preference, selecting Freeze or rejecting the seat is mandatory.
The float option allows candidates to retain the allotted seat while remaining eligible for a higher-preference course or institute in the upcoming rounds. Under the slide option, candidates keep their current seat but will only be considered for a more preferred course within the same institute in future rounds.
