The exam was conducted from 10 am to 1 pm across examination centres in the state.
As per the exam pattern, the Physics theory paper carried 70 marks, while the remaining 30 marks were allotted to practical assessments conducted earlier. Students were given three hours to write the theory paper, along with 15 minutes of reading time before the exam began to review the question paper
Notably, students with disabilities are granted extra time, with an additional 60 minutes for a three-hour paper. As a result, the exam for PwD candidates is still going on and will end at 2 pm.
Candidates appearing for the examination must bring their Karnataka 2nd PUC hall ticket 2026 to the exam centre. Entry into the examination hall will not be permitted without a valid admit card.

Candidates must score at least 24 marks in theory and 11 marks in practicals, which together meet the minimum 35% qualifying requirement.
Karnataka PUC Physics Paper 2026: Question paper pattern
The Karnataka 2nd PUC Physics question paper was divided into four sections with different types of questions and marks distribution.

Part A: This section includes 20 objective-type questions, each carrying 1 mark. The questions may be in the form of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) or fill-in-the-blanks.

Part B: Students will be required to attempt 5 questions out of 8, with each question carrying 2 marks.

Karnataka PUC Exam 2026: Exam Guidelines
Students appearing for the Karnataka 2nd PUC examination should carefully follow the instructions issued by the board to avoid any inconvenience on the exam day.

Required Documents: Candidates must carry their Karnataka 2nd PUC Hall Ticket 2026 issued by the school. Entry to the examination hall will not be permitted without a valid hall ticket, and students should ensure that no markings or writings are made on it.

Reporting Time: Students are advised to reach the examination centre at least one hour before the exam begins, preferably by 9 am. Candidates arriving more than 30 minutes after the exam has started will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
