Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad will award SURE internship holders a fellowship of Rs 15,000 for two months, Rs 7,500 per month, and Rs 10,000 for one and a half months.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has invited online applications for its Summer Undergraduate Research Exposure (SURE) 2-month internship programme 2026. Candidates may choose one of the following durations: one month, one and a half months, or the full two months for the internship programme.
A total of 250 seats are offered, of which 100 are reserved for women candidates.
IIT Hyderabad SURE internship holders will get a fellowship award of Rs 15,000 for 2 months, Rs 7,500 per month, and Rs 10,000 for one and a half months.
Candidates can apply for the SURE internship in an online mode on the official website, iith.ac.in, before March 10. The results will be announced on April 14, and the programme will begin on May 15.
The selection process for IIT Hyderabad’s SURE Internship will consist of a preliminary screening of applications, followed by an interview (online mode), department-wise, mentor faculty-wise, at the option of the concerned department.
The selection will depend on the student’s excellent academic performance, the work undertaken beyond regular academic requirements, participation or recognition in competitions such as Olympiads and National Talent Search Exams, and performance in the interview.

As per the IIT Hyderabad official website, the shortlisted candidates shall be informed through email only. The final list of selected interns will be displayed on the SRC office webpage under the “news/announcement” section.
Furthermore, IIT Hyderabad will provide hostel accommodation, and the interns will bear the mess charges.

The eligibility criteria for the IIT Hyderabad SURE internship programme 2026 are as follows.
A key eligibility requirement is strong academic standing. Applicants must rank within the top 20% of their class, based on CGPA or percentage scores from all previous years of study. This ranking must be certified by the head of the institution or the principal at the time of application.
