Karnataka PUC Result Declared; Overall pass percentage up by 7.1%

NEW DELHI, APRIL 30: The Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka has declared the result of Karnataka PUC and this year the overall pass percentage is 59.5 which is 7.1 percent more than previous year. In 2017, the overall pass percentage was 52.38.

Girls have outperformed boys with pass percentage of 67.1 as the pass percentage among boys is 52.30. Karnataka PUC result 2018 is available online on the official website karresults.nic.in. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their result here. To check Karnataka PUC result 2018, students have to enter their registration number.

A total of 4,08,421 students have cleared the exam, out of which, 54,692 got distinction while 2,13,611 secured first class. Total 82,532 secured Second class while 57,586 got third class.Dakshnia Kannada, Udupi districts has the highest pass percentage whereas Bidar and Chikkodi scored least. Rural students scored more than urban. The pass percentage among rural students is 59.95 whereas it is 59.45 among urban.

Karnataka PUC 2018 examination was conducted from March 1 to 17, 2018. Total 6.9 lakh students appeared for the exam, of which 3,52,292 were boys and 3,37,860 were girls.

Students can access their result through SMS. For this, they are required to type KAR12<space>ROLLNUMBER and send it to 56263.

Karnataka PUC Supplementary examination will be held in June 2018. The last date of re-verification of marks is May 7, 2018.
