KC Mahindra Scholarship 2022: Registration open till September 10

KC Mahindra Scholarship: The scholarship is for students from low-income families to pursue diploma courses in polytechnics.

NEW DELHI: The KC Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) on Monday opened the application process for the annual Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship (MAITS) 2022. Students coming from low-income families who wish to pursue a job-oriented diploma course from recognised government polytechnics are eligible to apply.

Under MAITS 2022, each scholarship holder gets Rs 10,000 per year for up to three years. A total of 550 students are selected for the scholarship.

As many as 11,290 students from all around India have received this MAITS scholarship. The KCMET has been providing financial assistance and recognition to students since 1995.

KC Mahindra Scholarship: Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must have scored at least 60% in the SSC or HSC or equivalent exams taken in the 10 or 12 grade, and for a diploma degree, the candidate must have obtained admission at a government-run or similarly reputable polytechnic institute. "This scholarship will only be given to candidates who are enrolling for the first year of their course," the statement from KCMET said.

Girls, children from lower-income households, children with disabilities, and kids of service members are given extra consideration when it comes to scholarship awards.

Mahindra Scholarship: How to apply

The application form is available on the KCMET website, kcmet.org.

The application deadline for Karnataka passed in August but for the rest of the states, the deadline is September 10, 2022. The scholarships are for the 2022-23 academic session.

Apart from education certificates, proof for admission and income proof, the application must also be supported by a testimonial from either a teacher or employer and a short statement on “general aptitude and interest, the type of vocation you would like to pursue and your ambitions and aspirations in life”, the website says.
