NEW DELHI: The admit card of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2023 is expected to be issued today, May 7. The KCET administering body, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) websites -- cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea and kea.kar.nic.in will update the link to download the UGCET 2023 hall ticket. KCET 2023 is set to be held on May 20 and May 21 and on May 22 for Kannada language.

The Karnataka UGCET question paper will be based on the first and second PUC syllabi of the department of pre-university education of Karnataka. The exam will be held in two shifts for biology, maths, physics and chemistry on May 20 and May 21.

As the Karnataka government has made the Common Entrance Test (CET) mandatory for BSc Nursing from this year, take a look at the history of Karnataka engineering colleges and BSc courses. In 2011, an engineering college in Karnataka introduced a BSc 4-year course.
UGC declared the course invalid and gave the students a three-ear degree instead. A decade later, in 2021, the education department rolled out a BSc 4-year course. There were barely any admissions, the colleges were clueless about the curriculum and textbooks and also faced a shortage of teaching staff.

As per the official schedule, the KCET 2023 results will be declared on June 12, 2023.
Candidates that will be appearing for the KCET 2023 exam on May 20 and 21, 2023 will be able to download the admit card from the following websites.
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is scheduled to release the KCET 2023 admit card today, May 6, 2023.
KCET application form 2023 correction window was recently reopened and the facility was available till April 27. KCET 2023 Special category certificates submission dates were also revised to May 25 to June 1, 2023.

KCET 2023 is conducted in pen and paper-based exam for admission into the undergraduate engineering courses offered by the participating colleges in Karnataka.
Candidates appearing for the KCET 2023 exams from May 20 must note that the KCET admit card 2023 download link is not active yet.
To download the KCET admit card 2023, students will have to key in their registration number and date of birth on the link. Students have to download the KEA KCET hall ticket and take a print of it to appear in the Karnataka CET 2023. The officials are expected to activate the admit card link soon at the official website.
Candidates who have applied for the exam will be able to download the KCET admit card 2023 from the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/.

A total of 2,10,829 students had appeared for the KCET exam last year.
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) had revised KCET rankings last year after the order of the Karnataka High Court asking KEA to consider 50% second PUC marks of students of 2020-21 batch to prepare the KCET 2022 rankings.
In KCET exam last year, Apoorv Tandon, Siddhartha Singh and Amtakuri Venkata Madhava Sriram topped in the engineering category while Arun Ravishankar, Sumeet Patil and Sudeep Y M were the top BSc (Agriculture) rank holders. In the BSc Veterinary category, Hrishikesh Nagbhushan Gangule, Manish S A and Shuba Kaushik were the top three rank holders.
KCET 2023 applicants will have to carry admit card to the examination hall. Candidates will not get entry without admit card.

The Karnataka budget last year proposed converting existing engineering colleges in the state into “Karnataka Institutes of Technology” (KITs), following an “IIT-model”. The colleges have been left without funds.

As per KCET 2023 marking scheme, candidate will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking in the exam.
KCET 2023 will be conducted in English and Kannada languages. Candidates who have opted for English medium will have their exams on May 20 and May 21 whereas applications who have opted for Kannada language will have their exam on May 22.
KCET 2023 exam will include physics, chemistry, and mathematics sections. The question paper will include 180 questions with 60 questions each on physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
KCET 2023 exam will be conducted for 1 hour and and 20 minutes. KCET 2023 admit card will mention the exam timings for candidates.
