The KEA announced the KCET result for the Kannada language test on April 25. However, KCET 2025 result for the remaining exams conducted on April 16, and 17, 2025 is yet to be announced.

An increase in undergraduate engineering intake across the country has resulted in a large number of vacant BTech seats. Data from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) shows that more than two lakh engineering seats were added in the previous academic session, mostly in undergraduate programmes and in fields such as computer science engineering and artificial intelligence.

Last year, in Karnataka, after three rounds of COMEDK counselling, 18,276 general category seats in private engineering colleges remained unfilled. In government engineering colleges, 13,089 seats were vacant after the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) completed its counselling process, as per data accessed by Careers360.
