KEA to reopen KCET application 2024 after NEET UG results for medical courses

Download NowNEW DELHI: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced that the application window will be reopened after the declaration of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) results for candidates who could not complete application for UG medical seat allotment. As per the schedule, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce NEET results 2024 on June 14.

In a latest circular, the KEA announced another opportunity for candidates who failed to register for UGCET, a common application for engineering, architecture, medical, dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy courses.
Candidates can expect the Karnataka UGCET application form 2024 on June 17 at the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
“In-spite of many opportunities provided to register, candidates and parents are submitting requests to open the portal to register for Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy courses in Karnataka. Hence, after the announcement of UGNEET-2024 results, three days' time will be given to candidates to register online to become eligible for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy courses in the state of Karnataka,” it said.
Online registration is mandatory for admission to medical, dental, Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy courses in Karnataka.
Recently, candidates who passed Class 12 from other boards such Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), including Jammu and Kashmir, 2nd PUC students were asked to enter their marks before May 28 before 5.30 pm.
The UG medical entrance exam also known as UGCET 2024 was conducted on April 18 and 19 in two shifts. However, the exam scheduled on April 25 and 26 for Person with Disabilities (PwD) has been postponed to avoid clash with Lok Sabha elections 2024.
