The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will close the option entry process for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025 counselling and Undergraduate National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UGNEET) 2025 today, July 29 at 5 pm. Candidates can select their preferred courses and colleges before the deadline through the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

“The deadline to submit preferences and choices is 5 pm on July 29, ahead of the release of the final seat allotment result. Candidates have been advised to carefully select the courses and colleges they are interested in,” the official notice said.
As per KEA, candidates can enter options for all courses except Ayurveda. The seat matrix for the Ayurveda course is yet to be finalised. The KEA will announce the KCET round one seat allotment result by excluding Ayurveda. “The Ayurveda course will be considered during the second round of seat allotment,” the official notice said.

The provisional seat allotment result for KCET 2025 round 1 will be announced on August 1, followed by the final allotment result on August 2. Candidates allotted seats in this round will be able to exercise their choice selection options between August 4 and 7.
KCET counselling 2025 will be conducted over multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, an extended round, and a special, mop‑up round. The counselling is being conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority to allocate seats for various undergraduate professional courses such as engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and allied health sciences.
