KCG College of Technology Convocation: 560 graduate across UG, PG, PhD; 94% placement, Rs 11.3 lakh top pay

KCG College of Technology held its 24th graduation day ceremony, awarding degrees to 560 students from its undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes. The college announced a 94 percent placement for the 2025 graduating batch during the ceremony, with several core engineering branches achieving 100 percent placements.

The branches include Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). Over 150 recruiters participated in the placement process and made over 400 job offers to students. The highest salary package offered was Rs 11.3 lakh per annum.

Some of the top recruiters at KCG were Airbus, Boeing, Bosch, Accenture, Cisco, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infosys, Siemens and L&T Technology Services.

AI, Ambition and Lifelong Learning

Emphasising that learning never stops, Radhakrishnan, director general, Anna Institute of Management and Training, Tamil Nadu, who attended the ceremony as the chief guest, said that KCG Tech’s true legacy lies in the many lives it has nurtured. Students should understand what they learn, persevere, work as a team and remain lifelong learners.

“Artificial Intelligence is the next major transformation after computers and graduates should see technology as an opportunity to learn, innovate and grow. Students should embrace both success and failure, learn from setbacks and move forward. At the same time, never forget your parents, elders and friends whose sacrifices supported your journey,” he said.

M Vellaipandian, director general of the Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) directorate under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), was the guest of honour. During his address, he said that graduates should take pride in KCG Tech’s legacy and make full use of its resources and opportunities. “Opportunity brings responsibility to choose the right path, pursue global excellence and serve society and humanity. Hard work, perseverance, humility and lifelong learning are the foundations of success, particularly in a rapidly changing technological world,” he added.

Anand Jacob Verghese, Annie Jacob and G Prabhakaran asked the graduating students to continue lifelong learning, integrity and new opportunities. They also congratulated the students and wished them success in their professional and personal journeys.
