KCMET invites applications for Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship 2024; apply before October 6

NEW DELHI: KC Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) has been working for the past 71 years to make a difference in students' lives by offering them scholarships. KCMET has commenced applications for its annual Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship (MAITS) 2024, today, October 3. The scholarship aims to encourage and support students from low-income families who wish to pursue a job-oriented diploma course from recognized institutes in India, the official KCMET statement said.

Around 550 students will be selected for the scholarship and will be awarded Rs 10, 000 per annum for a maximum of 3 years, the KCMET statement added. Interested students can apply for Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship (MAITS) 2024 on its official portal, kcmet.org, the official KCMET statement added.

For students in Delhi, the deadline to apply for MAITS is October 6, 2024. Shortlisted students will be informed of the interview date and venue well in advance, the KCMET statement adds.

MAITS 2024: Eligibility requirements

Interested students can check the below-listed eligibility criteria for the MAITS 2024 scholarship:

  • Candidate should have passed SSC, HSC, or equivalent examinations in Classes 10 and 12 with more than 60% marks.

  • Candidates should have secured admission to the government or any other recognized polytechnic institute for a diploma course.

  • Scholarships will only awarded to candidates enrolling for the first year of their course.

The KCMET has been awarding the MAITS since 1995. Till date, around 12,390 students have been awarded MAITS across India. Additionally, a special preference is given to girls, children from lower income group families, differently abled children, and children of armed forces personnel or other central armed police forces, while awarding the scholarship.

MAITS awarded students have gone on to win over adversities and chart a new course in their lives. The scholars are established positions in diverse fields like computer engineering, civil engineering, information technology, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, etc.
