Mumbai: It was the first conference held by Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC), attended by education experts, school inspectors, and other stakeholders, said an official.

THANE: The Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation on Saturday held an education conference for teachers with the aim of improving academic standards of civic schools. It was the first such conference held by KDMC, which was attended by education experts, school inspectors and other stakeholders, an official said.
"The goal of the conference held under the Nipun Bharat Mission is to provide quality education to students of civic schools. It is not a difficult task. Our teachers are capable of delivering it," KDMC municipal commissioner Abhinav Goyal said.
This conference was organized to inform teachers about the intellectual level of the students and to guide them in planning how every child can be brought to the expected proficiency level in three months, he added. All municipal school students were recently tested in Marathi, English and Mathematics using the Vinoba Bhave app to assess current academic levels, a KDMC release said.
